One thing to note about Alolan Ninetales is a lack of mobility and endurance. It’s a squishy Pokémon, so when an enemy dives you, it could spell game over. That is unless you know how a proper build like the one we’re about to show you. When you know how to use this Pokémon, you will provide incredible support and crowd-control, on top of pumping out serious damage. Let’s get started.

Best Alolan Ninetales Build in Pokémon UNITE

Here is the best Alolan Ninetales build in Pokémon UNITE:

  • Battle Items: Eject Button
  • Held Items: Shell Bell, Muscle Band, Wise Glasses
  • Moveset: Blizzard, Avalanche

Battle Items

You will likely want to run the Eject Button as Alolan Ninetales’ Battle Item. The Pokémon does not have much mobility, despite having a lot of slowing abilities. For that reason, this will allow you to get in and out whenever necessary. It can provide you a disengage dash or help you chase down fleeing Pokémon.

Held Items

First up, the best Held Item for Alolan Ninetales is probably the Shell Bell. It provides some much-needed health regeneration for using your moves, allowing you to have some survivability on the battlefield.

Muscle Band is always a solid option for Ninetales because you’ll be relying a lot on basic attacks. This held item increases the basic attack damage by a percentage of enemy HP and grants some attack speed.

Lastly, you can go with the Wise Glasses for some extra special attack percentage. You can also opt to go with something like the Scope Lens for a better basic attack critical chance.

Moveset

Alolan Ninetales has two viable movesets, depending on how you want to play. You can opt to go either the full ice path or fairy path, and your choice should depend on your team composition. The fairy path with Aurora Veil and Dazzling Gleam is great if your team needs a support Pokémon. Setting up team fights inside the Aurora Veil will give you a massive advantage.

On the other hand, if you want to build Alolan Ninetales as a hard carry type Pokémon, go for Avalanche and Blizzard. You’re going to output a lot of damage, and more importantly, provide a lot of crowd-control to the enemies. The slowing and freezing ability lets you control the battlefield and manipulate the fights to go your way. Again, it all depends on what roles your teammates are playing. Pokémon UNITE is a team game, after all!

But, what about the Level 3 choice between Icy Wind and Powder Snow? Well, considering how quickly you level in this game, it doesn’t matter all that much. You can go with either, so do some experimenting and see what you like best for early ganking or jungling.

Lastly, Alolan Ninetales’ Unite Move is Snow Globe, which attacks with chilly snow and ice, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in an area of effect. It also deals extra damage to frozen enemies. So, you’ll likely want to pop this immediately after using your other skills for more damage.
