One of the distinctly Autumn features of Liyue is the bright orange trees scattered through the land. These trees, known as Sandbearer Trees, provide one of many types of craftable wood used for furnishings in your Serenitea Pot.

Here’s a closer look at one of the most striking tree species in all of Teyvat, and where to find them. For an overview on all the trees, check out our other guide on the best farm routes for wood

Maximize Your Inventory of Sandbearer Wood

To make the most out of your adventures in Genshin Impact, simply “grab it when you see it.” This has never been more important, especially if you are trying to build up your home away from home in Version 1.5’s Serenitea Pot.

You’ll be rewarded for collecting all the wood in your vicinity (usually while out on quests or immediately after teleporting), as you will run out of crafting materials way less often.

Special note: Keep in mind, you can collect 3 pieces of wood from each tree. We recommend using a polearm character, as they typically attack the quickest and will cut back on some farming time.

Defining Features of Sandbearer Trees

It is said that these trees can withstand a number of environmental conditions, including droughts and torrential storms. The sometimes orange coloring of Sandbearer Trees makes them easily noticeable compared to many of the other trees in the game. Not every Sandbearer Tree is orange, however.

As a general rule of thumb, if you’re anywhere in the regions of Lisha or Minlin, most of the trees you’ll see are of the Sandbearer variety. These trees have a main trunk and usually 2-3 large branches pointing upward at a 45 degree angle from the base.

Where to Find Sandbearer Wood in Genshin Impact

Here are four areas where you can find Sandbearer trees and wood:

  • Tianqiu Valley.
  • Guili Plains.
  • North of Mingyun Village.
  • East of Mt. Aozang.

This tree species is prominent throughout Liyue, thus it’s not particularly hard to come across. That said here are some general areas with quick access points to Sandbearer trees that you’ll be able to easily teleport near. Until you get used to the locations in the image below, try using your in-game Map Pins to keep track of the best areas.

Why Farm Sandbearer Trees for Wood?

You might be wondering by now what the wood you collect from Sandbearer Trees is actually used for. Well, if you’re a fan of Liyue’s aesthetics and building designs, Sandbearer Wood is a key ingredient for several of the Serenitea Pot’s larger outdoor furnishings (such as gates, walls, buildings, and lamps).

As the game progresses, who knows what other new uses woods may provide. Regardless of future updates, we guarantee it will benefit you to start stocking up on it now!
