When you first visit the Adeptus’s Repose, you are bound to notice the green barrier keeping one area off the limits for you. Even though some hints are supposed to help you with this thing, it’s still not very clear what you need to do to get past it and access the nice chest inside.

How to Unlock Adeptus’s Repose Luxurious Chest in Genshin Impact
To get the green barrier down in Adeptus’s Repose and open that wonderful luxurious chest, you will simply need to complete a quest called Silently the Butterfly Crosses the Valley. This quest can be triggered by going to Yaodie Valley cave located in Chenyu Vale: Southern Mountain.
The quest will set you on a path where you need to chase 5 butterflies into Medicine Jars. Each butterfly submission will have a mini-adventure where you need to collect other random items scattered around a particular area where the missing butterfly is found.
After you’ve chased down all 5 butterflies, you’ll need to go to the Ancient Tree, where you’ll need to get the branch on top of it. This will spawn the first luxurious chest right next to it. When you’ve looted the chest, go back to Adeptus’s Repose.
Where Can You Use the Ancient Tree Branch?
When you’re back at the Adeptus’s Repose, approach the broken-down Medicine Jar and place the Ancient Tree Branch when prompted. This will remove the green barrier, stopping you from going into that one cave with the second luxurious chest. Now you can go in and loot it.
Looting the chest and reading the Ancient text on the shelf behind it will conclude the Silently the Butterfly Crosses the Valley quest and give you the When Comes Spring or Autumn achievement.
