To compare Artifacts, select the character you want to inspect and navigate to the Artifacts section. Select the slot you want to look at, and then choose any Artifact you want to compare against your current one. On the top right, you should see a Compare button. You can click the button for PC and mobile users, and for PlayStation 4 players, the compare button is square.

Let’s take a look at one example together in case you are confused. Bring up the character screen and select any character that has Artifacts equipped. In this example, I’ll pick Diluc and navigate to his gear by clicking Details and then Artifacts. Next, we’ll click on the hourglass slot, just as an example. You should see a list of every Artifact you have in your inventory. Click on any of them, and then check the top right for the Compare button.

Click on Compare, and it brings up a side by side comparison of the item stats. You can use this to see how much better a piece of gear is against the one you’re wearing. You would need to memorize each item’s stats without using the compare function, which gets confusing and time-consuming. Now that you know this exists, you can gear out your characters more easily and efficiently. Now you know how to compare Artifacts in Genshin Impact.
