Genshin Impact is an open-world, free-to-play action-role-playing game. It is set in the fantasy world of Teyvat and follows the story of the Traveler who embarks on a grand journey across Teyvat to uncover its secrets. Players can explore the dynamic and vibrant world, battle monsters, collect resources and solve puzzles.
With its stunning visuals and engaging combat system, Genshin Impact has been gaining much popularity among gamers worldwide. The game also features a wide range of characters that players can choose from to build their team. This guide will discuss the stronger characters you want in your team.
Ayaka
Kamisato Ayaka excels in battle due to her cryo elemental skills, which synergize well with other elements to trigger elemental reactions. While she does not have the best damage output in the game, Ayaka excels in freezing teams. You simply freeze-lock enemies to the point that they can’t fight back.
Her elemental skill and elemental burst constantly apply the cryo element, and the damage output is powerful. Ayaka can also be used in melt comp teams alongside Xiangling. You can make a solid team using anemo support like Sucrose, Venti, or Kazuha, which enhances damage through elemental mastery.
Kazuha
Kazuha is an exceptionally versatile anemo sword user; his crowd-control abilities are unlikely to go out of style. He delivers the best elemental bonuses to your Main DPS. This is not to say that Kazuha cannot be the primary damage dealer, since he may also lead the charge.
Kazuha can deal much damage on his own with the right setup. If you can place him on a team that uses elemental reactions, the amount of damage you can do is absolutely crazy. Overall, there isn’t a more adaptable character.
Hu Tao
It’s very unlikely that Hu Tao’s spot as one of if not the strongest single target Pyro DPS dealers in the game will ever be taken. This polearm and pyro character can deliver quite a punch when equipped with the right build. While Hu Tao may not be able to do as much AoE pyro as someone like Diluc, her single target damage is incredible.
With her Charged Attacks, she can deal consistent Pyro damage. She becomes virtually unstoppable at constellation one because her charged attacks no longer deplete your stamina while her elemental skill is active. While activating the elemental skill causes her to lose a lot of HP, the elemental burst can help her heal it in seconds.

Raiden Shogun
She is called the Archon of Electro for many reasons. Raiden Shogun is the finest Electro character in the game. She can deal off-field electro damage to the squad with her skill, and her elemental burst makes her powerful. With the burst, she does massive amounts of electro damage and creates enough energy to activate the party’s elemental bursts.
Raiden Shogun may be used in a variety of team combinations. Some play her as a burst DPS and battery, while others form teams with the Archon as the primary DPS and additional characters buffing her damage. Her excellent support build generates excessive energy, allowing her to fit easily into several teams.
Eula
Eula, the best physical damage dealer in the game, she’s able to deal massive amounts of physical damage. By building up stacks of Grimheart with her elemental skill, she can unleash massive AoE burst damage with her elemental burst. Her attack speed is faster than most claymore users, and she can also inflict cryo for superconduct elemental reactions.
Superconduct reduces the enemies’ physical resistance for even more potential damage. You can pair her with Raiden Shogun for unreal amounts of damage, but even on her own, Eula’s physical damage output is crazy high. If you are looking for serious physical damage, Eula is your girl.
Ganyu
Ganyu and her bow are the first to challenge Diluc’s base attack strength. Her formidable AoE elemental skills allow her to damage and freeze her enemies continuously. Ganyu also can shoot different types of cryo arrows with her charged attack, including one with AoE damage.
The cryo damage dealt by her charged attacks is enough to take down world bosses like Azhdaha. So completing weekly bosses becomes a breeze. Ranged fighting is essential in the game because it allows you to avoid damage. We doubt there is anyone better at this than Ganyu.
Bennett
Although overlooked initially at his release, Bennett has now cemented his spot as the best support character. Offering a damage boost to the entire squad, healing, and delivering damage as needed with his elemental burst, he is a great addition to any team. Bennett is also excellent in rapid pyro application and works well with pyro-heavy team compositions. How can a character with four stars be in the top tier? Because he’s the perfect all-in-one character.

Zhongli
Zhongli’s damage output has significantly improved due to geo abilities and geo elemental resonance buffs. Not only can Zhongli deal serious damage, but his Jade Shield ability is also quite powerful, allowing him to play a DPS/support hybrid role. The amount of damage you can block with his shields eliminates the need for a healer, allowing you to focus on damage.
All this defense comes from Zhongli’s skill alone, and the burst also offers a ton of geo damage while petrifying the enemy. Overall, Zhongli is one of the most dependable characters in the game.
Nahida
Nahida is an expert at dealing with swarms of foes, as her skill allows her to target eight enemies at once. Overall, she’s a strong dendro character who works well as DPS/sub or DPS. Thanks to her great chemistry with most groups in the game, Nahida may instantly replace characters like the Traveler to strengthen your dendro parties.
Yelan
Yelan is the five-star version of Xingqiu; she can do everything he does but better. Her off-field Hydro application is stronger, and her damage bonuses are more potent. The dash-based elemental burst is undeniably unique and entertaining, and we recommend pairing her with a pyro DPS like Hu Tao or Diluc.
The best thing about Yelan is unlike other five-star characters; you don’t have to spend as much time selecting the right weapons and artifacts for her because she scales with HP. All you need is a good build, and she is ready to go.
