How to get Aetherium Crystals in Black Ops Cold War Zombies

You can get Aetherium Crystals in the following ways:

  • Completing Milestone Rounds
  • Successful Exfils
  • Completing the Easter Egg

The amount of Aetherium Crystals you can get depends on the round level. Different brackets determine your amount, and they are as follows:

Round BracketsAetherium Crystal Rewards
10, 15, 20, 251 Aetherium Crystal
30, 352 Aetherium Crystals
40, 453 Aetherium Crystals
50, 554 Aetherium Crystals
60, 655 Aetherium Crystals
70, 756 Aetherium Crystals
80, 857 Aetherium Crystals
90, 958 Aetherium Crystals
100+9 Aetherium Crystals

For completing an Exfil, you are rewarded more Aetherium Crystals corresponding to the round bracket. For example, if you Exfil during round 35, you will receive an extra 2 Raw Aetherium Crystals.

The exact number of crystals you get per Exfil seems to vary, and are not in line with the 10-Round brackets we see for the Milestone bonuses. For example, you may receive three additional Crystals for an Exfil on round 51.

Best way to farm Aetherium Crystals

If you are looking to maximize your Crystal farming to the maximum, you can consider these stats. The highest amount of Aetherium Crystals per hour comes from extracting at round 31. Scaling is the primary reason for this conclusion.

At higher levels, more zombies spawn per round and they progressively become stronger. After maxing out your damage and Pack-A-Punch, there’s a brief period of time where you can one-shot most of the zombies. Your relative damage drops off over time as you start completing rounds slower and slower due to higher zombie health pools.
