There are lots of hidden quests and secrets in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War: Zombies. We already have walkthroughs for getting the D.I.E. machine and how to upgrade Wonder Weapons, but there are many more still hidden. One of these is the Aether Scope, which is useful for exploring the Aether Realm. Here’s how to build the Aether Scope in Black Ops Cold War Zombies.
You can use the Aether Scope to uncover Aether Portals and Anomalies in the Dark Aether realm. You will also need it to complete another Easter Egg inside the Die Maschine map. Before proceeding on your journey, you will want to turn on the power and then build the Pack-A-Punch machine.
How to build the Aether Scope in Black Ops Cold War Zombies
To build the Aether Scope in Black Ops Cold War Zombies, you need to obtain three parts, which are in the following locations:
- Yard: under the stairs on the outside of Nacht Der Untoten.
- Crash Site: on top of the plane.
- Particle Accelerator: lower level of the room, behind the portal.
The Aether Scope parts only show up in the Dark Aether realm, so you need to go through an Anomaly Portal first. Killing zombies is the only way to get the Portals open, so get ready for some fragging.
If you are quick enough, it is possible to get all three Aether Scope parts in a single run. It helps if you have a team together so you can collect them all in one go. The parts for the Aether Scope tend to spawn in random order. You will need to collect all three, though, so refer to the list above if you want to get them all.Â
Yard Aether Scope Location
Head to the Yard, and check under the stairs of the Nacht Der Untoten. If you do not see the object there, the first one must have spawned in one of the other two locations.
Crash Site Aether Scope Location
The Aether Scope part location in the Crash Site is on top of the plane wing. It’s hard to miss, but make sure you are in the Aether Realm when looking for it.
Particle Accelerator Aether Scope Location
Head to the Particle Accelerator room for another Aether Scope part. You can find it behind the portal that spawns down here, in the corner by the vent where zombies come from.
Workbench Location
After obtaining each of the parts, you can visit the workbench downstairs in the Particle Accelerator room to assemble them.
