Genshin Impact Pine Wood - Wuwang Hill

Where to Find Pine Wood in Genshin Impact

Our guide takes an in-depth look at where to find Pine Wood in Genshin Impact. Pine Trees are durable, long-living, and one of several types of trees in Genshin Impact you can collect wood from. Pine Wood is a valuable material needed to craft furnishings for your Serenitea Pot (Adventure Rank 35 requirement) and can only be collected from Pine Trees. The information provided in this article will equip you with everything you’ll need to know to be an expert on Pine Trees.

Defining Features of Pine Trees

Let’s get straight to the notable features of Pine Trees with a short bullet point list:

  • Very spiky branches and silhouettes.
  • Some Pine Trees have lost their pine leaves but can still provide Pine Wood when hit.
  • If the wood is white and sprouts from two spots on the ground, it is NOT a pine tree you can collect wood from. The real pine trees only have one main trunk and have darker wood colors

Oh, and don’t forget to grab all the pinecones on the ground near the trees! You’ll be able to use them to cook a very useful healing dish known as Mondstadt Hash Browns.

Where to Find Pine Wood in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact‘s Pine Wood is found in Dragonspine, Wuwang Hill, and in Mondstadt. For the adventurous types, it’s time to scale the great Dragonspine mountain. Arguably the safest area in Dragonspine, Snow-Covered Path harbors an abundance of Pine Trees. We have highlighted the suggested path on the map below.

You can either teleport close to the top of the mountain (Wyrmrest Valley) or near the bottom (Snow-Covered Path), then follow the path towards the opposite location. Don’t go South of the red X marked on the map unless you want to fight a Frostarm Lawachurl.

If you’d rather deal with ghostly spirits and eerie fog instead of dragon bones and freezing temperatures, head on over to Wuwang Hill to collect some Pine Wood instead. You’ll instantly be greeted by dozens of Pine Trees if you teleport to the Domain of Blessing known as Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula. Wuwang Hill’s forest is densely packed with trees, meaning you’ll be able to farm wood easier and quicker here than at Dragonspine.

How to Get Pine Wood in Genshin Impact

You can collect 3 pieces of wood from each Pine Tree simply by attacking it with your weapon. We recommend using a Polearm character as they typically attack the quickest and have the largest range.

Also, if you haven’t noticed already, hitting multiple trees at once will only drop one piece of wood total (instead of one piece of wood from each of the trees hit). Either keep track of how many pieces you’ve collected or continue swinging or shooting away at the trees until you don’t see anything else being dropped.

Maximize Your Inventory of Pine Wood

Trees respawn wood minutes after you hit them. That means farming Pine Wood is rather easy in Dragonspine, because you can just keep running up and down the mountain path attacking trees with your weapon. If you plan on spending a while up on the mountain though, make sure you come prepared for the cold with some Goulash and Pyro characters.

If you’re a real wood collector, try running the Dragonspine path then teleport over to Wuwang Hill. Rinse and repeat!

Why farm pine trees?

Pine Wood is useful in a variety of furnishings for your Serenitea Pot. It is predominantly used in indoor furnishings such as a luxurious sofa, dividing screens, tables and chairs, and books. Additionally, a few of the Liyue-inspired outdoor buildings and gates also require this type of wood.
