How to Remove Wanted Level in Fallout 76?

So far, the only certain way to remove your Wanted level in Fallout 76 is death. Not only that, but another player has to kill you. That means your Wanted level will not be affected if you die by a random NPC or a creature.

How to Achieve Wanted Level?

Since the Wanted level is removable only by death, you better learn what actions can bring a bounty on your head. When players destroy items in their C.A.M.P. or lockpick doors, resources, or containers belonging to other players, they will receive bounties or wanted status. Every offense will increase the bounty’s total amount. A wanted player is indicated by a red flag on the map, making them visible to all other players along with their bounty.

Hunting the Wanted Level Players

Excluding their teammates, a wanted player cannot see the location of any other players or C.A.M.P.s on the map. Wanted players are also flagged for PvP against any player, even temporary event allies and teammates. PvP may immediately start when any player attacks the target. When the marked player is killed, the bounty is deducted from their caps and given to their killer.

What To Do If You Get Wanted Level?

Yes, we know mistakes happen, and you got your bounty without any guilt. Since the bounty can be erased only after you die, there are several things you can do.

First of all, find a stash and put all your valuable belongings there. That way, you will not lose them after your death. You can go by the goody-2-shoes routine and ask one of your friends or teammates to kill you. Or, if you want to have some fun, you can raise your bounty as much as you can by doing the evilest possible things. I mean, if you’re dying anyway, why don’t you go to the underworld with a reputation?

The Wanted level will end up in your death, but everything that happens before you die is up to you. For more related content, please check out our articles Where Can You Find Pre-War Money in Fallout 76? or How to Get Brother Steven as an Ally in Fallout 76.
