Birch Trees are a pleasant sight in the fields and paths of Mondstadt. You can collect Birch Wood from these trees, which is a valuable material needed to craft furnishings for your Serenitea Pot (Adventure Rank 35 requirement). Follow along to learn more! Here’s our guide on where to find Birch Wood and Trees in Genshin Impact.
Defining Features of Birch Trees
Spotting Birch Trees is easy when you know what you’re looking for. If you’re out in the wild adventuring, keep an eye out for trees with:
- White-colored bark
- Typically light green or yellow-toned leaves
- Rather small in size when compared to the other tree types
Where to Find Birch Wood in Genshin Impact
There are two major sections in Mondstadt (and near the border of Liyue) that have an abundance of Birch Trees to help you build your furnishings. Check out our lists and maps below for more information.
- Take the Entombed City Outskirts Teleport Waypoint down to the newly added domain (in Version 1.5) Ridge Watch
- Above the Valley of Remembrance Domain
- Area around the Statue of the Seven between Dawn Winery and Springvale
- Surrounding the Statue of the Seven at Starfell Lake
- East of the river that runs through Stormbearer Mountains
If you’re antsy for more locations, there have also been sightings of Birch Trees on Cape Oath’s peak.
How to Collect Birch Wood in Genshin Impact
Collect a maximum of 3 pieces of wood from each Birch Tree simply by attacking it with your weapon. For the quickest results, we suggest using a character with a Polearm. This weapon type attacks rapidly and has a wide attack range.
Quick reminder that hitting multiple trees at once will only drop one piece of wood total (instead of one piece of wood from each of the trees hit).
Maximize Your Inventory of Birch Wood
Trees in Genshin Impact respawn wood either after a period of time or when a certain number of wood pieces are collected (apparently, chopping a dozen trees will refresh all the trees you’ve previously hit). Regardless, it is pretty easy to get a lot of wood quickly, just based on the number of Birch Tree locations there are in the game.
Co-Op Mode offers an additional way to obtain the Birch Wood you might need. You can actually collect wood in other player’s worlds. While this won’t exactly speed up the process of collecting wood, you can earn a few achievements by collecting a certain number of items from another player’s world (if you haven’t already).
Why Farm Birch Trees?
Now this is going to be one of the more useful wood types to collect, since some pretty major furnishings require it for building. These furnishings consist mostly of Mondstadt-based structures; think buildings, fences, tents and huts.
