Crisis Core Reunion — How to Get the Mug Materia

The Price of Freedom May Be Steep, But The Price of This Materia Isn't!

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion has arrived with the sole intention of making us all cry. But, before we can experience the Nibelheim Tragedy and experience the steep price of freedom, we need to collect an assortment of materia. In the game, materia can be used to give yourself an edge over the enemies you’ll encounter. It can burn them to a crisp or cause an ice block to shatter over their heads.

But, one materia you might not expect is called ‘mug,’ and it’s not in reference to coffee. In fact, this materia is used to steal an item from an opponent while also dealing some damage. This can come in handy if you’re low on restoration items, but your enemy has a couple potions on hand. Sure, it can be a bit of a gamble, but desperate times call for desperate measures! Read on to learn how to nab this helpful materia for yourself!

Crisis Core Reunion — How to Get the Mug Materia

OK — so, there’s not a particular location you can acquire the Mug materia. But, there are tasks you can complete that can lead to you earning it. If you’re feeling brave, you can take on the 1000 Shinra Troops mission, which is unlocked after completing the 200 Shinra Troops mission. What’s 800 more? If you can complete this lengthy mission, you’ll acquire the Mug materia.

Aside from that, you can nab this elusive materia whilst on the Chapter 10 map, “Howling Fang 2.” It can also be stolen from the Lesser Demon monster. No matter how you choose to get this materia for yourself, it’s definitely one that you should grab just in case! You never know when you’ll need it, after all!
