It should first be said that following this path may result in your character being severely under-leveled. Also, it’s not a fool-proof method; you will inevitably be caught in a random encounter every so often. So, if either of those caveats is a dealbreaker to you, that’s understandable. But, if you’re still with me: good.

You can use this ridiculously simple method to avoid random encounters in Crisis Core Reunion. When you’re exploring a monster-filled “dungeon,” so-to-speak, hug the walls. If you learn which areas are most likely to spawn a random encounter, you can run into the walls and move past the randos like a ninja. As I said, it’s not a perfect method, but it saves a lot of time when you don’t have to fight every monster in the dungeon. It would be a different story if the encounters didn’t immediately respawn, but they do.

What’s more — this method not only works in the story mode dungeons, but also in the missions. It’s a bit harder to manipulate when in the large, open field missions, but it’s still do-able. Just be sure to fight them every so often to avoid being significantly under-leveled …
