Some weapons are better than others in Call of Duty Warzone. These generally consist of rifles and SMGs, but what about the others? In this guide, we take a look at the overall best Warzone setups. This includes weapon categories like RPGs, LMGs, Rifles, SMGs, and Pistols. The current meta is changing, and this guide will help you figure out what weapons are the best, and what setups you should be running for them.
Best Warzone Setups
We’ll take a look at each best Warzone setups by category, and breakdown the attachments to use for each weapon. At the end of this post, you can find the perks and tactical equipment loadouts as well, since they remain the same regardless of weapon choice.
Best Pistol in Warzone
- Renetti
Since the Snake Shot got nerfed in a recent patch, the Renetti took over as the best pistol in Warzone. They might not be quite as powerful as the old Snake Shot, but they are still amazing. It goes without saying we want two of these bad boys, so the Akimbo perk is a must-have alongside the Mk3 burst mod and the 27-round mags.
- Barrel: Mk3 Burst Mod
- Laser: 1mW Laser
- Trigger Action: Lightweight Trigger
- Ammunition: 27 Round Mags
- Perk: Akimbo
Best SMG in Warzone
- MP7
The SMGs and Rifles are the bread and butter of Warzone. When we’re talking secondary weapons, the best SMG in Warzone has to be the MP7. This is incredibly versatile and very effective at close quarters combat. It’s even decent at medium-range as well. With no recoil and a crazy rate of fire, it can melt people in seconds.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: FSS Recon
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Ammunition: 60-Round Mags
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
Best Assault Rifle in Warzone
- Grau 556
It really is a toss-up between this and the M4A1 for the best assault rifle in Warzone. Though, the Grau seems to edge it out due to its versatility. The Grau also just feels better to shoot, and we’re not exactly sure why. With a superior damage range, this is an assault rifle you shouldn’t be passing up. Here’s the setup we recommend:
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: FFS 20.8″ Nexus
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 60-Round Mags
Best Sniper in Warzone
- HDR
It’s always a toss-up between the HDR and the AX-50 for the best sniper in Warzone. We’re going to have to say it’s the HDR due to less bullet drop, higher bullet velocity, and the overall gameplay. The HDR is simply a better choice for more situations, so we have to go with it over the AX-50 as the best Warzone setup.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: 26.9″ HDR Pro
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Optic: Thermal Sniper Scope
- Stock: FTAC Stalker-Scout
Best Marksman Rifle in Warzone
- EBR-14
The Kar is a close contender, but for us the EBR-14 takes the cake. It’s overall a better weapon in more situations, easier to use, and does a ton of damage at all ranges.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: FORGE TAC Precision 22
- Optic: G.I. Mini Reflex
- Stock: FSS Raider Chassis Elite
- Perk: Focus
Best LMG in Warzone
- Bruen MK9
The best LMG in Warzone is also the newest addition to the game. With the Bruen MK9, you can almost turn it into an assault rifle with this setup. Many players are starting to use it because they are seeing how powerful it is all around. It has a high rate-of-fire and very high damage.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Bruen 18.0″ Para
- Stock: No Stock
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 60-Round Mags
Best Shotgun in Warzone
- Origin 12
Here’s a category of weapons you don’t hear much about in Warzone: shotguns. One shotgun, in particular, is getting a lot of attention in the current meta. The Origin 12 is turning out to be the best shotgun in Warzone, believe it or not. It’s the best weapon in super close-range situations, making it a solid weapon to run in your loadout for melting armor.
- Muzzle: Choke
- Barrel: FORGE TAC Impaler
- Laser: 5mW Laser
- Stock: No Stock
- Ammunition: 25 Round Drum Mags
Best Rocket Launcher in Warzone
- RPG-7
The best Rocket Launcher in Warzone is the RPG-7. It’s hands down the best in the game, and effective against vehicles, players, and in many situations. You can’t put any attachments on this weapon so there’s nothing really to recommend on that front.
Best Perks in Warzone
- Cold Blooded
- Ghost
- Amped
You can also go with Overkill so you can run something like the Grau and MP7. Some people like to start with Overkill and switch to the former perk loadout later in the game. High octane fighting in the beginning makes overkill a great perk choice for survivability.
Best Equipment in Warzone
- Heartbeat Sensor
One piece of equipment you should never pass up is the Heartbeat Sensor. It has unlimited uses and is viable throughout the whole game. Aside from this, you can count on some C4 to come in handy in any situation.
