The game has evolved into so much more than it was since its launch in 2016, introducing tons of new Pokemon, Research, Remote Raids, and more. The Pokemon Go 5th Anniversary event is jam-packed with exciting content and special Pokemon to celebrate the game’s success.
Pokemon Go’s 5th Anniversary event begins on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 10:00 am and ends on Thursday, July 15, 2021, and 8:00 pm local time.

- Chance at a Shiny Meltan after activating the Mystery Box
- Access to Jump-Start Special Research

- Special Box, Ultra Box, and Adventure Box contain different items

Completing the Collection Challenge rewards trainers with a Flying Pikachu with a 5-shaped balloon, Rare Candy, and tons of Poke Balls. Trainers looking to collect the special Flying Pikachu variant should prioritize completing the Collection Challenge to do so.
