How to Get Eat Chocolate Emote in FFXIV

It's the sweet season.

I love me some chocolate. Who doesn’t, really? Any time of the year that encourages the consumption of sweet goodness is a time worth celebrating, even if you don’t care about any other aspect of it. Case in point, Valentine’s Day is a great time for some chocolate, so why not share the love with your FFXIV character? Here’s how to get the Eat Chocolate Emote in FFXIV.

How to Get Eat Chocolate Emote in FFXIV

The Eat Chocolate Emote is a character Emote in FFXIV that has your character pull out a delightful chocolate heart and take their time eating and savoring it. It’s just an emote, so it doesn’t have any practical effect (though it’d be funny if they had a sugar rush or something), but it’s a fun way to express yourself for a holiday season.

The Eat Chocolate Emote is available in FFXIV as part of the Valentine’s Day event, which runs from February 1 to February 15. During this time, you can participate in a couple of special quests, which reward some nifty cosmetics.

Completing The Maid’s Quest

To obtain the Eat Chocolate Emote, you’ll want to seek out Lisette de Valentione, a mysterious lady who appears around Valentine’s every year. She can be found in Old Gridania at X:10.2, Y:9.4.

While Lisette will give you a quest that rewards some seasonal items, she’s not actually who you’re here for. Rather, your business is with the House Valentione Maid standing nearby. This maid is selling etiquette lessons from the esteemed Valentione House, and she’ll sell you a book of them for the right price. If you open her shop, you can purchase the item “Ballroom Etiquette – Valentione’s Dangers” for a reasonable 2,500 Gil. Use this book, and you’ll instantly learn the Eat Chocolate Emote, which can be played with the command “/eatchocolate” while not in combat.

If you’ve got the time, you should also take on Lisette’s quest, “Suited for Affection,” as completing it will reward you with the limited-time Emissary’s Attire outfit. Remember, you only have until February 15 to get this stuff.
