An important element in any RPG would have to be being able to craft weapons, armor, or various potions to give buffs. In Final Fantasy 16, you are taught how to craft in order to make gear in the game to help you fight off enemies. A lot of these weapons or armor pieces you need require you to find ingredients scattered in the Final Fantasy universe you need to track down. It’s important to farm for them early on so you don’t have to worry about it. A crafting item you need to find is called frozen tears and we’re going to teach you how to find them in Final Fantasy 16.
Where to Find Frozen Tears in Final Fantasy 16
Frozen tears are crafting ingredients you need in order to reinforce weapons. Some of those weapons are iron bracers and a broadsword. When you use these tears on weapons the item helps make them stronger. If you’re having trouble finding frozen tears it’s probably because there’s only one way to locate them in every drop. You’re going to need to continue through the main storyline until you’ve reached Shiva’s Dominant. After you have defeated Shiva’s Dominant she will drop frozen tears.
After you have located frozen tears you need to take the material to Cid’s Hideaway at Blackthorne to reinforce equipment. You will gain a +1 upgrade when you’re using the material on iron bracers and a broadsword. There are tons of other crafting materials you can find scattered in Final Fantasy 16 such as Dragon Talon or Steelsilk. All of these materials can be used to reinforce weapons, create potions, or upgrade armor.
Where to Find Shiva’s Dominant in Final Fantasy 16
If you’re having trouble trying to find Shiva’s Dominant, don’t worry, we’ll tell you where she’s located. Shiva’s Dominant is part of the main storyline and is one of the first mini-bosses you can come across. This quest is part of the “A Chance Encounter” quest line. Shiva’s Dominant is located at the Nysa Defile, in the Dhalmekian Republic Region. She’s a fairly easy mini-boss to take down and after you defeat her you can use her powers as an Eikon.
