When exploring the world of Diablo 4 you’d naturally want to loot everything you can. Occasionally, you will run across chests surrounded by glowing golden chains called Silent Chests. Silent Chests seemingly have a higher chance of giving out rare loot but nothing is guaranteed as you can get common items too. They appear temporarily in different areas of the map and then disappear if not opened for some time. Even though that’s the case, in this article we’ll give you some common locations where we noticed them so you’ll have some idea of where to look. Dive in and discover all Silent Chest locations in Diablo 4.

Where Can You Find Silent Chests in Diablo 4?

As mentioned Silent Chests can be found all over the map and they are temporary chests which means that they will appear and disappear from time to time. For example, if you see a chest in one location and soon after that restart your session, that chest most likely won’t be in the same spot when you come back.

We will share with you some of the locations we know Silent Chests have spawned in the past so you’ll have a higher chance of finding one. However, we can’t guarantee that a Silent Chest will be spawned at these locations at all times.

Also, you will find a lot of these chests randomly as you complete your quests and side quests, so keep an eye out for large glowing chests if you don’t want to miss on some extra loot.

How Can You Unlock Silent Chests in Diablo 4?

Silent Chests are unlocked by special Whispering Keys so if you don’t have one, your search for these chests will be in vain. Whispering keys can be bought from the Purveyor of Curiosities in exchange for 20 Murmuring Obols. If you haven’t encountered this currency before you can check out our article on how to farm Obols.
