How to find and evolve Lickitung in Pokemon Sword & Shield

Where to find a Lickitung in Pokemon Sword & Shield

To start, you will need to know where to find a Lickitung. Make sure you have the Isle of Armor expansion before proceeding to the next steps. The best spot to catch a Lickatung is in the Soothing Wetlands, around the grassy areas. You should be able to find one fairly quickly, as the spawn is not rare.

He has a few other different spawn locations, such as the Brawlers’ Cave, but we find the Soothing Wetlands to be the most reliable spot. You can take a look at Lickitung’s Habitat, including the weather conditions, from the Pokedex screenshot below.

How to Evolve Lickitung into Lickylicky in Pokemon Sword & Shield Isle of Armor

To get Lickylicky, you have to level up your Lickitung while knowing the Rollout move. Double-check your Lickitung to make sure he knows Rollout, or use the move relearner to teach it to him. To use the move relearner, head to any Pokemon Center and talk to the guy at the desk. He will have the option to have a Pokemon remember a move.

After selecting ‘remember a move,’ you can select Lickitung and select Rollout. It makes no difference what move you overwrite for Rollout. The only thing that matters is that he knows this move. 

Next, you need to level up your Lickitung. You can use some Exp. Candy XLs to speed up the process. Lickitung should evolve into Lickylicky as soon as you level him up, assuming he knows Rollout.
