When is Pokemon GO Fest 2022?

For the last few years, it’s kinda seemed like every time things are right about to get back to some semblance of normalcy, everything just gets even weirder. If you find this state of affairs frustrating, you’re not alone, but that’s why it’s important to still have yearly events to fall back on. Annual traditions keep things feeling a little more normal, not to mention a whole lot more fun if they’re related to something you enjoy like, say, Pokemon. Speaking of annual events and Pokemon, when is Pokemon GO Fest 2022?

Today, the official Pokemon GO website revealed the dates of the next Pokemon GO Fest event, the annual super-event where all kinds of Pokemon appear in the game, prizes can be won, and if you’re lucky enough, real-life events may even come to your town! Pandemic safety permitting, of course. 

When is Pokemon GO Fest 2022?

According to the announcement, this year’s Pokemon GO Fest is slated for Saturday, June 4th, 2022, and Sunday, June 5th, 2022, a two-day extravaganza guaranteed to scratch that Pokemon itch like never before. Not only that, but for those who miss the main event, an additional finale event will be held near the end of summer on Saturday, August 27th, 2022.

So, who are the lucky few that are getting in-person events this year? For Pokemon GO Fest 2022, Niantic and The Pokemon Company will be holding three sets of in-person events in three cities around the world. The dates and locations of those events are as follows:

• Berlin, Germany: Friday, July 1st, 2022, to Sunday, July 3rd, 2022
• Seattle, Washington, USA: Friday, July 22, to Sunday, July 24, 2022
• Sapporo, Japan: Friday, August 5, 2022, to Sunday, August 7, 2022
