After choosing your character’s gender and customizing their appearance, you’ll have to pick a lifepath, and the choice is between either Streetkid, Nomad, or Corpo. You’ll dive right into a prologue mission that varies depending on your lifepath choice. The job’s task will read “Wait for the Lockdown to End,” at which point it’s not clear what you should be doing. How long do you have to wait, exactly? You will need to enter Act 2 for the lockdown to end. Just continue with the main quest lines until Act 2 starts.

After The Heist ends and you enter Act 2, the lockdown will come to an end. You can then progress in the next part of The Gig side job. The journal will tell you to meet with and collect a reward from Wakako, who you can find in Japantown in the Westbrook district of Night City.

Interact with Cassius and browse through his inventory of cyberware goods. Your free reward is a Hand Implant. Click on the Hand and choose the Tattoo: Tyger Claws Dermal Imprint.
