How to Complete Happy Together in Cyberpunk 2077

There are two possible endings in Happy Together, and your game should automatically save before the critical parts. If you mess up and prefer to get a happy finish to the story, you can always load the autosave and follow these steps. In case you’re wondering, the bad ending results in Barry taking his own life. Mendez and Petrova are devastated when this happens and realize they could have done something to prevent it. Here’s how to complete Happy Together in Cyberpunk 2077 and get a good ending to the story.

To start this side quest, you’ll need to speak with a few cops outside your apartment. They are worried about their buddy, Barry, on the force, who hasn’t been handling things too well as of late. You can turn his life around, though. Keep in mind there are two possible endings for this quest, and we’ll show you how to get both of them. I originally got a sad ending and had to go back and make things right to save this man’s life.

How to Complete Happy Together in Cyberpunk 2077 (Bad Ending)

To get the bad ending where Barry dies, you have to skip the part where you find Andrew’s niche before talking to the cops. You’ll need to select some specific dialogue options to get the optional objective. Refer to the part below to get a good ending.

How to Complete Happy Together in Cyberpunk 2077 (Good Ending)

Knock on Barry’s door, and see if everything is alright. He won’t answer at first, so you’ll need to try talking to him again in a few hours. You can manually skip ahead three hours. Refer to our guide on how to change the time of day if you’re not sure how to do it.

Knock on Barry’s door again after a few hours. Choose the dialogue option, “I just wanna talk.” Barry will invite you in for a chat and explain what’s going on with him. I told him, “your friends asked me to drop by” when he inquires about my visit.

You can take a seat at the table and talk with Barry to see what’s going on. Tell him, “NCPD hasn’t improved, has it?” Next, you can ask, “What about your friends on the force?” He’ll explain they aren’t the best of listeners and can’t comprehend what he’s going through. Ask Barry about how Andrew died.

Tell Barry, “Everyone has their limits,” and you’ll explain Mendez doesn’t know anything to console him. Barry will say he needs some time to take in your conversation. You should now have the optional objective to find Andrew’s niche before talking to the cops.

Where is Andrew’s niche in Cyberpunk 2077?

Andrew’s niche is on the far east side of the map. You’ll need to call your car and drive over there, which will take about five minutes or so, depending on your driving skills. When you get to the site, Andrew’s niche is in the middle area. There’s an item on the ground next to the appropriate niche. Refer to the image and check the minimap on the top right for the proper area. Select, “Barry needs help.” You can also talk to Johnny here as an optional part of the quest.

Next, go back to your car and drive back to your apartment to speak with the cops. Tell them, “I visited Andrew’s grave.” Explain that Barry took to talking about his problems with a tortoise over his buddies in the force. You may have the option to select, “Right. ‘Cause I love to BS badges.” If you don’t, you can also choose “Go see for yourself,” but I can’t verify that.

After your talk with Mendez and Petrova, you’ll complete the quest and get your reward. You can head over to Barry’s door to listen in if you want. That’s how to complete Happy Together in Cyberpunk 2077 and get the happy ending. I hope this helps you out!
