I’ll be the first to admit that, on my first playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077, I completely ignored the weapon mod system and ran stock firearms through the entire story mode. It was a challenge I foolishly opted into of my own accord. But hey, what a world I was missing out on. The various weapon mods and muzzles in Cyberpunk 2077, especially with the latest revamp update, improve gunplay significantly. Here are the best weapon mods in Cyberpunk 2.0!

The Best Weapon Mods in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0

You have several valuable options regarding the best weapon mods in Cyberpunk 2077. Some of the most common choices include:

  • Autloader: Reduces reload time after emptying an ammo clip.
  • Cold Shoulder: Increases damage by 7.
  • Combat Amplifier: Increases the chance of applying damage-related status effects.
  • Crunch: Increases damage by X%.
  • Neon Arrow: Reduces weapon reload time by X%.
  • Penetrator: Increases Crit Chance.
  • Phantom: Increases weapon fire rate.
  • Pulverize: Increases damage to limbs.
  • Scourge: Increases Crit Damage.
  • Vendetta: Increases headshot damage.

Cyberpunk 2077 features a large variety of muzzle mods, from brakes to suppressors and beyond. You can break these down even further, depending on the weapon type. For instance, a handgun muzzle mod isn’t the same as a rifle muzzle mod. They’re not compatible.

Here are five of the best weapon muzzle mods in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0!

RC-7 Aswang

  • Type: Assault Rifle/SMG Muzzle Brake
  • Rarity: Tier 4
  • Effects:
    • +1 Ricochet Count
    • Increases ricochet angle by 5/10/15/20/25-degrees
    • Increases ricochet chance by 10/20/30/40/50%
    • Increases damage by 8/11/14/17/25%

The RC-7 Aswang is a muzzle brake for Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns added in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.5 and continues to reign supreme as one of the top weapon mods in the game.

You can purchase this weapon mod from any of the weapon vendors in the game, as they all share an inventory now.

RC-7 Kutrub

  • Type: Handgun Muzzle Brake
  • Rarity: Tier 4
  • Effects:
    • +1 Ricochet Count
    • Increases ricochet angle by 5/10/15/20/25-degrees
    • Increases ricochet chance by 10/20/30/40/50%
    • Reduces spread by 10/20/30/40/50%

The RC-7 Kutrub is a handgun muzzle brake that, at higher rarity tiers, will add an additional ricochet and increase ricochet angle and chance while reducing bullet spread.

You can buy it for a few hundred eddies from any weapon vendor in the game.

RC-7 Yokai

  • Type: Assault Rifle/SMG Muzzle Brake
  • Rarity: Tier 4
  • Effects:
    • +1 Ricochet Count
    • Increases ricochet angle by 5/10/15/20/25-degrees
    • Increases ricochet chance by 10/20/30/40/50%
    • Reduces spread by 10/20/30/40/50%

The RC-7 Yokai, another Assault Rifle, and SMG muzzle brake are available for a few hundred eddies from the various weapon store vendors in Night City.

It increases ricochet angle, ricochet chance, and reduces bullet spread. At Tier 4, it adds an additional ricochet.

TXT Tocororo

  • Type: Silencer
  • Rarity: Tier 3
  • Effects:
    • +100% Stealth Damage
    • +20% Damage Reduction
    • +10% Crit Chance

The first suppressor mentioned here, the TXT Tocororo, is an advanced silencer that will reduce overall weapon damage by 20% but provides 100% increased damage when attacking from stealth. But that’s not all. It also increases the Crit Chance by 10%.

This Tier 3 Power Weapon silencer is available from any weapon vendor in the city.

XC-10 Cetus

  • Type: Silencer
  • Rarity: Tier 2
  • Effects:
    • 2.5x Damage Multiplier during Stealth
    • Disables bullet ricochet
    • Increases Crit Chance by 5%
    • Reduces base damage by 25%

The XC-10 Cetus is a Power Weapon silencer that reduces a weapon’s damage by 25% while increasing Crit Chance by 5% and including a 2.5x damage multiplier when attacking enemies from stealth.

Unfortunately, this Tier 2 silencer will also disable ricochets. It’s available from any weapon vendor in Night City.
