Pokemon GO Valentine’s Day Field Research Tasks and Rewards

If you’ve ever cracked a social psychology textbook, you’d learn a few things about the actual physical and sociological reasons for what we experience as love. Of course, that’s not very romantic, so it’s not much fun to talk about. Even so, love does require some research, especially when there is so much love in the world of Pokemon. Here’s what you need to know about Pokemon GO’s Valentine’s Day Field Research Tasks and rewards.

Pokemon GO’s 2022 Valentine’s Day event just began this morning, and is slated to last until February 14th, Valentine’s Day proper, at 8:00 PM of your local time zone. During that period, Pokemon-themed after love and relationships, as well as just generally cute Pokemon that make you want to love them, have had their spawn rates boosted. Along with all that, there’s a new suite of event-themed Field Research Tasks, each yielding rewards upon completion.

Pokemon GO Valentine’s Day Field Research Tasks and Rewards

The 2022 Valentine’s Day Field Research Tasks, as well as their rewards, are as follows:

• Catch any 5 Pokemon. Any Pokemon’s fine, just get five of them. Reward is a guaranteed Luvdisc encounter.
• Catch 20 Luvdisc: Luvdisc has its spawn rate boosted, so they’re absolutely everywhere right now. Catch 20, and you get a guaranteed encounter with an Alomomola.
• Earn 3 hearts with your Buddy Pokemon by taking them for a walk with you. Make sure to set a Pokemon as your Buddy as you’re doing these other tasks. Rewards a guaranteed encounter with either a Pikachu or an Eevee.
• Use 5 berries to help you catch any Pokemon. That’s 5 over the course of multiple catches, not all 5 for one Pokemon. The reward is a guaranteed encounter with a Ralts.
• Make 5 Great Curveball throws in a row. Hope you’ve been practicing your throwing technique. Reward is a guaranteed encounter with a rare heart-patterned Spinda.
• Win any Raid. As long as you’re there when it’s over, that’s a win. Reward is a guaranteed encounter with either a male or female Frillish.
