Pokemon GO’s Johto Tour event begins this Saturday, February 26th, and it’s gonna be a big one. There’s gonna be a lot of Pokemon out and about, which means you’re going to need a lot of Poke Balls in order to hold all of them. In order to load up everyone’s satchels with as many Poke Balls as possible, as well as properly hype everyone up for the big Tour, Pokemon GO is currently running the Poke Ball Prep Rally event. Completing tasks in this event will net you huge bundles of Poke Balls to ensure you’re ready for the weekend, and you can also catch some Pokemon with Poke Ball theming like Foongus and Voltorb. Here are all of the Pokemon GO Tour Poke Ball Prep Rally tasks.

Pokemon GO Tour Poke Ball Prep Rally Tasks

First of all, lets’ cover all of the Timed Research Tasks in the Poke Ball Prep Rally. There are four steps of Timed Research here, with the tasks of each subsequent step yielding greater rewards.

Step 1

• Spin the sign on any PokeStop or Gym. Rewards 3 Poke Balls.
• Complete any Field Research Task. Rewards 2 Great Balls.
• Send a Gift to anyone on your Friend list. Rewards 1 Ultra Ball.
• Complete all of Step 1’s Tasks. Rewards 100 Stardust and 100 XP.

Step 2

• Spin any 3 PokeStop or Gym signs. Rewards 6 Poke Balls.
• Complete any 3 Field Research Tasks. Rewards 4 Great Balls.
• Send Gifts to any 3 Trainers on your Friend list. Rewards 2 Ultra Balls.
• Complete all of Step 2’s Tasks. Rewards 200 Stardust and 200 XP.

Step 3

• Spin any 5 PokeStop or Gym signs. Rewards 9 Poke Balls.
• Complete any 5 Field Research Tasks. Rewards 6 Great Balls.
• Send Gifts to any 5 Trainers on your Friend list. Rewards 3 Ultra Balls.
• Complete all of Step 3’s Tasks. Rewards 300 Stardust and 300 XP.

Step 4

• Spin any 10 PokeStop or Gym signs. Rewards 20 Poke Balls.
• Complete any 10 Field Research Tasks. Rewards 15 Great Balls.
• Send Gifts to any 10 Trainers on your Friend list. Rewards 5 Ultra Balls.
• Complete all of Step 4’s Tasks. Rewards 500 Stardust and 500 XP.

Completing all of these Timed Research Tasks will net you a grand total of 38 Poke Balls, 27 Great Balls, 11 Ultra Balls, 1,100 Stardust, and 1,100 XP. Just remember, you only have until the Prep Rally ends on Friday to complete all of these.

Next, let’s cover the Field Research Tasks. You can pick up any of these Tasks by spinning the signs on Poke Stops. These tasks focus primarily on the act of throwing Poke Balls, so I hope you’ve got your pitching arm ready. The Prep Rally Field Research Tasks are as follows:

• Catch 2 Voltorb. Rewards 3 Poke Balls.
• Successfully land 5 Nice throws. Rewards 10 Poke Balls.
• Successfully land 3 Great throws. Rewards 5 Great Balls.
• Successfully land 1 Excellent throw. Rewards 3 Ultra Balls.
• Successfully land 3 Nice Curveball throws in a row. Rewards 3 Pinap Berries.
• Successfully land 4 Great Curveball throws in a row. Rewards 1 Silver Pinap Berry.

Don’t forget that Hisuian Voltorb has officially debuted in Pokemon GO with the start of the Prep Rally. Be sure to catch enough Voltorb, Hisuian or otherwise, to get 50 candies to evolve a Hisuian Voltorb into Hisuian Electrode.
