Pokemon GO Spring into Spring Collection Challenge

The ice has thawed and the temperature’s rising… it’s spring! Spring is a time of renewal and verdure, both in the real world and in the world of Pokemon. In the latter case, though, it also marks increased activity of certain wild Pokemon returning from hibernation and basking in the sunshine. With these Pokemon out and about, it’s a great time for some Pokedex research. Here’s what you need to know about the Pokemon GO Spring into Spring Collection Challenge.

As part of the Spring into Spring event, which began today, April 12, and will last until Monday, April 18, Pokemon GO is offering a collection challenge. If you can successfully capture all of the Pokemon on the collection list, you’ll receive a lump payout of handy resources, plus an encounter with a rarer Pokemon. If you’re going out to enjoy the sunshine anyway, you might as well track down some Pokemon.

Pokemon GO Spring into Spring Collection Challenge

Here’s the list of Pokemon that need to be caught for the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge, as well as a general idea of the circumstances under which they can be found.

  • Bunnelby: Can be found in the wild. Will also be headlining tonight’s Spotlight Hour from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in your local time zone.
  • Nidoran♀: Can be found in the wild.
  • Nidoran♂: Can be found in the wild.
  • Jigglypuff: Can be found in the wild.
  • Whismur: Can be found in the wild and encountered after defeating a Team GO Rocket grunt.
  • Flower Crown Pikachu: Can be found in the wild and encountered as a reward for clearing Field Research Tasks.
  • Flower Crown Eevee: Can be found in the wild and encountered as a reward for clearing Field Research Tasks.
  • Flower Crown Buneary: Can be found in the wild and encountered as a reward for clearing Field Research Tasks.
  • Flower Crown Chansey: Can be found in the wild and encountered as a reward for clearing Field Research Tasks.

Successfully catching one of each of these Pokemon before the Spring into Spring event ends will earn you 2000 XP, 2000 Stardust, and an encounter with a Flower Crown Togetic. Completing the Collection Challenge will also count toward your Elite Collection Medal if you’re working on that.
