Today marks the final Tuesday in January and the last Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour for the month. The Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour Pokemon this week is the Ground-type Phanpy. During the event, players have one hour to catch as much Phanpy as possible. Trainers can earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokemon. When is Phanpy Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO?

Phanpy Spotlight Hour begins on Tuesday, January 26, from 6 PM to 7 PM Local Time. Because the time zone is Local Time, it will start earlier in some regions than others. Keep an eye on your clock and wait until 6 PM if you’re looking to get in on the action. During this time, you’ll have some bonuses for an hour.

As with every Spotlight Hour, trainers’ main bonus is a higher spawn rate for the featured Pokemon. Trainers can also get double Candy for transferring Pokemon during this time, so it’s an excellent opportunity to clean out your inventory. Evolve your Phanpy into Donphan with 50 Phanpy Candy.

When your inventory is getting full of Phanpys, it’s a good idea to go through them and start transferring away! Get rid of the low IV Pokemon to take advantage of the bonus.
