Pokemon GO Misunderstood Mischief Research Tasks and Rewards

The Pokemon GO Misunderstood Mischief Special Research is now available as part of the Season of Mischief. It is a season-long Special Research that includes sixteen different steps. Each step will unlock over time, so players don’t need to rush through these. Below, we’ll take a look at all of the Special Research tasks and rewards for each part and update them as new tasks release.

Pokemon GO Season of Mischief is active for three months, from September 1st through December 1st, 2021. It is themed around the Mythical Pokemon, Hoopa, which will be introduced through the season-long Special Research tasks. We will be updating the list below to reflect all of the Pokemon GO Misunderstood Mischief research tasks and rewards.

Pokemon GO Misunderstood Mischief Research Tasks and Rewards

Here are the research tasks and rewards for Pokemon GO Misunderstood Mischief:

Part 1 of 16

• Make ten nice throws: Incense x1.
• Use an Incense: Poke Ball x10.
• Take three Snapshots of wild Psychic-type Pokemon: Nanab Berry x10.
• Rewards: 1000 XP, Gothita Encounter, Stardust x500.

Part 2 of 16

• Rewards: 720 XP

Part 3 of 16

• Make 5 Curveball Throws: Poke Balls x15
• Catch 10 different specis of Pokemon: 5 Great Balls
• Earn 5,000 Stardust: 3 Max Revives
• Rewards: Hoopa Encounter, 1,000 XP, Stardust x500

• Rewards: 720 XP, Stardust x720

• Power up Pokemon 10 times: Poke Ball x15
• Catch 20 Psychic-type Pokemon: Abra Encounter
• Evolve 3 Psychic-type Pokemon: Max Revive
• Rewards: Wobbuffet Encounter, Hyper Potion x10, Inkay Candy x10

• Rewards: 720 XP, Stardust x720

• Take a snapshot of your buddy: Furfrou Encounter
• Catch a Furfrou: Fast TM
• Earn a heart with your buddy: Charged TM
• Rewards: Minccino Encounter, Unova Stone, Furfrou Candy x15

• Professor Willow is currently performing an investigation regarding this research. Check back for more details soon!

Some players may be a bit confused about the Professor Willow message that appears every two steps. The message is a bit ambiguous and essentially means that players need to wait for the next part of the research to unlock. This Special Research spans the entire season, so spacing tasks out like this ensures players do not complete everything too quickly.

That said, there’s no reason to rush through these tasks this season. Take your time, and even if a new mission unlocks while you have yet to complete the previous one, you will still be able to work through them at your own pace.

The Pokemon GO Misunderstood Mischiefe Special Research is comprised of 16 steps and will unlock over the course of the Season of Mischief when certain events begin.
