Pokemon GO Johto Tour Start Time

Everything you need to know about the Pokemon GO Johto Tour start time and release date

I remember, way back at the very end of the 90s, when Nintendo announced that there would be a new generation of Pokemon with an entirely new region to put them in, all the kids on the playground were hyped beyond belief. Pokemon was already the biggest thing since sliced bread, but the reveal of Gold and Silver and the Johto region sent a message to all of us: Pokemon was staying for the long haul. It’s for this reason that the meta-importance of the Johto region cannot be overstated and why, in turn, the Pokemon GO Johto Tour is such a big deal. To ensure you’re ready for such a monumental event, here’s the Pokemon GO Johto Tour start time.

The Pokemon GO Johto Tour event will begin on Saturday, February 26th, at 9:00 AM in your local time zone, and will last until 9:00 PM in that same time zone. That’s precisely 12 hours of nonstop catching, battling, raiding, trading, and more for the whole dang world. If you had any plans for Saturday already, you might as well cancel them, because this is going to be your entire day.

This is going to be a major occurrence, short perhaps only of the annual Pokemon GO Fest. There’s going to be Trainers out and about all day, and a lot of ‘em, so in the interest of everyone’s safety and good times, The Pokemon Company recently offered a few tidbits of advice for those planning on walking the streets.

Details of Pokemon GO Johto Tour (2022)

First and foremost, the key to catching as many unique Pokemon as possible is coordination. The Gold and Silver event tickets only give you access to a particular selection of Pokemon, so if you want to catch ‘em all, you’ll need the assistance of a friend that bought the ticket you didn’t buy. Pokemon GO is more fun with friends anyway, so coordinate with one another and stay in contact over the course of the day.

Secondly, make sure to practice and strategize. There’ll be some big raids going on during the event, especially the Apex Shadow Ho-Oh and Apex Shadow Lugia raids, so you’ll want to have a good team of counter-pick Pokemon locked and loaded. You should also take some steps to ensure quick completion of Field Research Tasks, like tagging Pokemon that are easy to evolve and power up. Don’t forget to practice your Poke Ball throws, too! You want to land excellent curve balls multiple times in a row!

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, remember to take care of yourself out there! If you’re going to be out and about for the entire day, make sure you’ve got a pack with you with some snacks and drinking water, especially if it’s hot out. Younger players should be accompanied by a buddy or a parent, and you should have a few safe rest spots picked out like restaurants, libraries, parks, or your own home. Don’t forget that not everyone is a Pokemon GO fan, so make sure to stay out of restricted areas, obey any local laws and health mandates, and be respectful of the safety and personal space of those around you.

Once again, the Pokemon GO Johto Tour start time is on Saturday, February 26th from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Log in and play to get a taste of our excitement all those years ago.
