A special Pokemon GO event is coming to the game this weekend. Incense Day: Type Shuffle is a limited-time in-game event taking place on Sunday, April 19 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time.

When Does Pokemon GO Incense Day: Type Shuffle Start?

Pokemon GO Incense Day: Type Shuffle 2020 starts on April 19 at 11:00 AM and goes until 5:00 PM local time. It will be active for a total of six hours straight.

For the duration of the event, Incense will attract Sentret. Additionally, Pokemon of rotating types will be attracted by Incense. Pokemon types shuffle every hour, and these are the six different types of pokemon for each hour:

  • 11:00 AM – Water Pokemon
    • Poliwag, Tentatcool, Spheal
    • Special: Clamperl
  • 12:00 PM – Fire Pokemon
    • Growlithe, Ponyta, Houndour
    • Special: Litwick
  • 1:00 PM – Grass Pokemon
    • Oddish, Roselia, Lileep
    • Special: Ferroseed
  • 2:00 PM – Psychic Pokemon
    • Slowpoke, Baltoy, Bronzor
    • Special: Goathita
  • 3:00 PM – Bug Pokemon
    • Caterpie, Ledyba, Skorupi
    • Special: Joltik
  • 4:00 PM – Ground Pokemon
    • Wooper, Barboach, Hippopotas
    • Special: Drilbur

This event is the first installment of the event and will be a good opportunity to play from home and collaborate with some friends. The event runs for six hours straight and players are encouraged to check back every hour for the newly shuffled Pokemon.

Incense lasts for a 1-hour duration currently, so you will need 6 incense to get through the entire event if you plan to play it through. Players can pick up a 1 PokeCoin Bundle to pick up an additional 3 incense.
