Did you know that Gallades can only be evolved from a male Kirlia, but Gardevoirs can be both male and female? I assume when Gallade was designed, someone wanted to make a more overtly masculine counterpart to Gardevoir, but that kinda falls apart when a Gardevoir can be either a dude or a lady. Oh well. Anyhoo, here’s how to get Gallade in Pokémon GO.
Much like in the mainline Pokémon games, the process of evolving a Kirlia into a Gallade in Pokémon GO follows several similar steps as the process to evolve a Kirlia into a Gardevoir, albeit with a couple of extra additions at the end. Firstly, just like in the main games, only a male Kirlia can evolve into a Gallade, which means you’ll need to catch a male Ralts and evolve it into a Kirlia first. This whole process can take a little while, so make sure you’ve got a good Ralts on your hands before you commit to it.
How to Get Gallade in Pokémon GO
Ralts needs 50 Ralts Candy to evolve into Kirlia, followed by another 100 Ralts Candy to evolve again. However, if all you do is give Kirlia the candy, it’ll just evolve into Gardevoir. To get Gallade, you need something extra: a Sinnoh Stone. Sinnoh Stones are rare items that are used primarily in evolving Pokémon into their Sinnoh-originated forms, which Gallade happens to be.
Sinnoh Stones are sometimes given out during events or rewarded during PvP battles, but outside of that, the most consistent way to get one is to complete Research tasks for seven consecutive days. In other words, you gotta play the game properly for a full week, and I mean properly; not just logging in and ticking a box.
With 100 Candy and Sinnoh Stone, just visit your male Kirlia’s page, and you can evolve it into a Gallade.
