Pokemon GO April Events (2022)

Happy April 1st! It’s a whole new month, and with it comes lots of new stuff to look forward to. New games coming out, new shows starting up, and of course, some warmer weather. If you’re a Pokemon GO player, you’ve certainl got no shortage of nifty events to look forward to this month, especially as we get closer to Pokemon GO Fest in June. Here are the events on deck for Pokemon GO in April 2022.

Here’s a list of the named events for April and their dates:

• April Fools’ 2-Oh?-22: April 1, 2022
• All-Hands Rocket Retreat: Sunday, April 3, 2022, to Thursday, April 7, 2022
• Spring into Spring: Tuesday, April 12, 2022, to Monday, April 18, 2022
• Sustainability Week: Wednesday, April 20, 2022, to Monday, April 25, 2022

April Fools’ 2-Oh?-22

It’s April Fools’ Day, and the wilds are absolutely lousy with Dittos disguised as other Pokemon! If you catch certain Pokemon, they may turn out to be a Ditto in disguise, and if you’re especially lucky, you might even find a shiny Ditto!

All-Hands Rocket Retreat

Team GO Rocket is up to something, and that’s never a good thing. What exactly it is that they’re up to, we don’t know yet, but we will know starting April 3rd, and they’ll be up to whatever it is they’re up to for most of that week.

Spring into Spring

Spring is in the air! It’s warm, leafy, green, and overly-pollinated. Celebrate the changing in seasons with a natural event and grassy, springtime Pokemon.

Sustainability Week

Earth Day is on April 22nd, so take the time to think about what you’re doing for the good of the planet, as well as all the creatures (and Pokemon) that live on it. Another Alolan region Pokemon is slated to make its debut during this event!

Spotlight Hours

In addition to these major events, there will also be the usual Spotlight Hours every Tuesday in April from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in your local time zone, during which the spawn rate for a particular Pokemon will be dramatically boosted. The highlighted Pokemon of April’s Spotlight Hours, their dates, and any additional bonuses are as follows:

• April 5: Stunky boost, double transfer Candy
• April 12: Bunnelby boost, double evolution XP
• April 19: Oddish boost, double catch Stardust
• April 26: Sunshine Form Cherrim boost, double catch XP
