How to get Mora in Genshin Impact

There are various ways to get Mora in Genshin Impact, including killing mobs, opening chests, and doing puzzles. Aside from playing the game usually, there are some additional ways you can get Mora that you may not know. The more advanced methods include gathering and spending Sigils, looting the bank chest, and spending Stardust.

Basic ways to get Mora

Every time you kill an enemy, it will drop some Mora. Granted, this is not the most efficient way to farm Mora by any means; it will still net you some. Additionally, opening chests and solving puzzles will make you some of that sweet, sweet, Mora. Again, it’s not the most efficient farming method, but we’re covering all of the possibilities here.

Floating boxes

Another way to get Mora is by opening the floating crates in any body of water. You probably already noticed these, but there’s a chance you didn’t. Opening these crates will get you anywhere from 500 to 2,000 Mora per box. Just make sure you have enough stamina to avoid drowning. You can also get sigils from these boxes, which is an excellent segue into the next method.

Sigils

You already know one way to get sigils, but another method to get sigils is by climbing mountains and looking for the loose rocks. Investigating these rocks will always reward you with Anemo or Geo Sigils. If you’re like me, you probably have a ton of Geo and Anemo Sigils sitting in your inventory. You can spend these at the Souvenir Shops at the major cities, Mondstadt or Liyue Harbor.

To spend your Anemo Sigils, head to Marjorie in Mondstadt and see what she has for sale. You can actually spend your Sigils to purchase Mora. We’re not talking any dinky amounts, either. The Souvenir Shop allows you to buy hundreds of thousands of Mora at one time. There are two options for purchasing Mora, and the second one only unlocks after you buy out all the other items in the shop.

To spend your Geo Sigils, head down to Liyue Harbor, and seek out the Mingxing Jewelry Shop. You’re looking for the diamond icon, in case you’re confused. Similar to the Mondstadt Souvenir Shop, you can exchange your Geo Sigils for Mora here. After purchasing everything in the shop, you can buy unlimited Mora in exchange for Sigils.

Liyue Harbor Bank Chest

Above the Jewelry Shop in Liyue Harbor, you can find the Northland Bank. Many players may not be aware that there is a hidden chest inside here with 200,000 Mora. If you’re running low on cash, this may be a godsend. Head inside the bank and make your way up the stairs to the second level. Explore the area, and you’ll see a Precious Chest with the Mora inside.

Adventurer’s Handbook: Experience and Commissions

Another great way to make some extra Mora is progressing through your Adventurer’s Handbook. Make sure to complete all the quests possible under the experience tab. Many tasks reward you with up to 50,000 Mora per completion! Additionally, the reward for completing all the tasks in a chapter also grants Mora.

Aside from the experience tasks, we also recommend doing the Daily Commissions for Mora, as well. Four commissions are available every day, so make sure to log in and complete them to maximize your Mora gains.

Paimon’s Bargains

Open up the shop window and navigate down to the Paimon’s Bargains tab. Head to Stardust Exchange, and you will see the option to purchase 10,000 Mora for 20 Stardust. If you’ve been doing a lot of summons, you probably have a bunch of Stardust saved up. There’s also a limited option that costs 10 Stardust for 10,000 Mora, a 50% better deal, that refreshes every thirty days.

Battle Pass

Last but not least, you can pick up the Battle Pass and progress through it. Every few levels on the Battle Pass progression will award you with Mora. Upgrading the Battle Pass nets you even more rewards and is probably worth it if you’re a paid Genshin Impact player.

These are all the various methods you can use to get Mora in Genshin Impact. You’re going to be spending a ton of Mora leveling up your characters, ascending your weapons, upgrading your talents, and so on. Make sure you are utilizing everything in this guide to get the most Mora possible for your characters.
