How to Get Landorus for the Pokemon GO Season of Legends Special Research

The Season of Legends event is now live in Pokemon GO, which includes many new Special and Timed Research tasks and rewards. Since this season focuses on the Legendary Pokemon, it only makes sense some of the content revolves around Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus. As you’re working your way through the Research, you may notice you’ll need to take a snapshot of Landorus, along with Thundurus and Tornadus. You may be thinking you’re out of luck if you didn’t manage to get one by now, but we have some good news for you. Here’s how to get Landorus for the Pokemon GO Season of Legends Special Research tasks.

In the second batch of Special Research tasks for the Season of Legends, you need to take a snapshot of Landorus. Unfortunately, these tasks came out after the Incarnate Forme Landorus five-star raid came to an end. Trainers who did not have the opportunity to catch him are not entirely out of luck, though.

How to Get Landorus for the Pokemon GO Season of Legends Special Research

For one, taking a Snapshot of Landorus is a Season of Legends Special Research task, which means you can wait a bit for your next opportunity. When will that be, though? Well, as implied by a post on the official Pokemon blog, we’ll be seeing all three Therian Forme Pokemon. We know that Therian Forme Thundurus will be active in five-star raids from March 16 through March 30 and Therian Forme Tornadus from March 30 through April 13. By that logic, we can speculate Therian Forme Landorus will be from April 14 through April 27.

There’s also a good possibility that Trainers will also have another opportunity within the next three months to spot a Landorus. We believe this is especially true since Niantic released these research events after the Landorus feature five-star raids. It would be a bit unfair, otherwise. We have not confirmed the possibility of taking a snapshot of another player’s Landorus via shared AR functionality, and it has not worked in the past, but it could be an opportunity to complete this. Trading is always another option if you have the luxury.

So, if you’re stuck on this Special Research task, don’t sweat it, because lots of other people are as well. You’ll undoubtedly get your chance in the coming months.
