Here are the best ways to get Primogems in Genshin Impact:

  • Waypoints
  • Statue of the Seven
  • Quests
  • Chests
  • Spirits
  • Trials
  • Challenges
  • Balloon Plants
  • Dungeons
  • Dandy
  • Abyss

Waypoints

Simply unlocking waypoints nets you both Adventure Rank experience along with Primogems. Make sure to interact with every waypoint you encounter in the world. You can pull up your map and zoom in a bit to see all the various waypoint locations.

Statue of the Seven

Encountering Statues of the Seven will get you Adventure Rank XP and Primogems, just like waypoints. Make sure to look for the circular blue icon on the map for their location.

Quests

The method everyone is familiar with is by completing quests. Doing quests is not only the best way to level but perhaps the most efficient way to farm Primogems. Luckily, there is no shortage of side quests to complete in Genshin Impact.

Chests

Opening chests can net you some Primogems. The amount varies between two to ten depending on the chest rarity making it an excellent source for free Primogems.

Spirits

Make sure to follow the blue spirits you see around the world. They will often lead you to treasure, which often includes Primogems.

Trials

Make sure to complete the trials located around the map. These are signified on the map by a square with a diamond in the center. Remember, you can only achieve some trials at specific levels, as there are caps. Trials often offer significant rewards for completion, including Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Mora, and more.

Challenges

Challenges can include shooting explosive barrels, getting to a location within a set amount of time, or simply killing waves of enemies. After completing the challenge, a chest will spawn with some Primogems inside.

Balloon Plants

Here’s something you may not be aware of quite yet. There’s a greenish-blue plant in the wild that you can interact with, and it launches little balloon looking things into the air. Shooting all of the balloons will spawn a chest, which we already know can contain Primogems.

Dungeons

Unlocking dungeons is another easy way to get yourself some free Primogems. You will need to complete a series of tasks to unlock each dungeon or domain.

Dandy

Dandy is an NPC you can randomly encounter in the world. She offers time trial challenges that reward you with varying rarity chests. It’s not only an excellent way to get not only free Primo Gems but also Adventure Rank experience. You can find her near Mingyin Village, Qingce Village, and northeast of Mt. Aozang.

Abyss

You can receive 100 Primogems for completing every Chamber on each Floor of the Abyss. The Abyss resets every two weeks, in case you were wondering. Finishing the Abyss every two weeks nets you 2400 Primogems.
