Start by flying over to Three-Point Pass, and you will begin seeing several pairs of footprints throughout the area. Each pair of footprints gives you two percent of the data you need for Sonia’s analysis. Many of them are located right around the Frigid Sea and Roaring Caves area. Find a total of fifty prints, and then head back to Sonia to complete her analysis and see which Pokemon made them.

Return to Sonia to analyze the Iron Will Pokemon’s footprints, and she will tell you the precise location. You’ll have to head back to the Frigid Sea, and you will notice a little island north of the area. Make your way over there and head to the top of the area. You should have no problem finding Cobalion spawn in that exact spot. As always, don’t worry about messing up because you can revisit the location to get Cobalion to spawn again.

Cobalion can do some damage, so come prepared with Pokemon that can take some powerful hits. Here’s a look at Cobalion’s moveset, which is similar to the other legendary Pokemon in this questline:

  • Sacred Sword
  • Swords Dance
  • Iron Head
  • Close Combat

Cobalion is the third in the series of four Pokemon. Up next, you’ll have to tackle Keldeo, a mysterious fourth Pokemon who Sonia failed to mention.
