You must first defeat the Hilichurls by the Aranara house near The Palace of Alcazarzaray, in which you will obtain a Florescent Talisman. When you enter the house, you will find Aranara Arashakun’s journal; you must make your way to the entrance of the Mawtiyima Forest Cave to find Arashakun.
Use the map provided above to guide your way to the Cave entrance; all you need to do is enter the red circle as indicated. As you make your way to the Cave, you will see enemies in front of the Cave and within the Cave.

However, you must defeat the Hydro Slime you find inside the Cave to save Arashakun. Once you have defeated the Slime, make your way to Arashakun; he will still be slightly afraid of you but will soon build up the Courage to thank you for helping him.
