Leveling up is always a race uphill. I mean, it literally is, since every level will require an ever-growing amount of XP, which translates into a bigger XP grind. Farming methods allow us to create a strategy to make XP gathering as easier and as efficient as it can be. Sometimes, this could lead us to take some shortcuts. We will talk about all of this today, as we found out how to farm XP in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.
How to Farm XP in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2
There are several ways you will be able to farm XP in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Some of these ways are the classic and conventional methods, while others can be considered a little bit “controversial” if you know what I mean. For that reason, we are separating each of these into their own section. First, let us start with the conventional and “legit” ways to earn XP while playing Fortnite. These are as follows:
- Play regularly, and play everything: by taking part in every mode available in Fortnite, you will be able to get your daily, weekly, story, and milestone challenges. Push forward to reach your XP income cap in every mode so you will be able to get the max XP available for you.
- Take advantage of bonuses: if there is an incoming Power Levelling or Double XP weekend, be sure to be part of it. I mean, it is pretty straightforward, double the XP, double the fun.
- In-game interactions: if you see an item, ammo, supplies, chest, or whatever that you can interact with, do it. You will get XP by doing anything, even talking to characters you find on the map.
- Money can’t buy anything, except it can: well, at least for Fortnite Battle Pass levels it can. For every season, you will be able to spend V-Bucks to buy a total of 100 Battle Pass levels. So, if you have the money to spend, buying your way through XP requirements is the way to go.

And now with the more “controversial” ways to gather some XP in Fortnite. Thanks to the map code system, some users have been able to create maps that will grant you a very big XP income along with other bonuses. Currently, the following method is one that is proving to be very effective, although the odds of it receiving the “permanent offline” treatment by Epic Games are not low. Be sure to approach this with some degree of caution, as an account ban may be enforced, and your dreams, shattered.
- Enter the following map code in the Island Code game mode: 0477-7793-3596
- Select the map that will pop up and then select a Private Game. Hit play.
- Find the XP Shop button on the map by selecting Start Game, just after landing.
- You will be teleported to an area where you will find a green AFK XP button. Move around the area and you will be able to collect a great amount of XP.
- Afterward, you can opt to return by pressing the Return to Arena yellow button. From there, you may be able to see a yellow musical hologram. Sneak behind it and you will find a secret button that will teleport you to a 1v1 arena. Just wait for the countdown to end and interact with one of the yellow buttons to earn more XP. Rinse and repeat.
- Explore the whole map and you will gain a steady amount of XP. Hooray!

And that’s pretty much it! Farming XP can be a very repetitive process, but real farming is no different, so don’t get frustrated. And while the custom map option may be tempting, I would recommend you think about it twice. Yes, getting extreme amounts of XP sounds very tempting, but a permaban sounds not only louder but awful as well. It is up to you, my friend. Good luck!
