As part of the game’s 1.6 version update, titled “Midsummer Island Adventure,” the character dressing room has finally been made accessible in full. Now you can change characters’ outfits in addition to their Air Gliders, though at the moment, the only two available are Barbara and Jean’s beach attire. Good place to start, though. While Jean’s outfit can only be purchased through the in-game store, you can get Barbara’s outfit with a little bit of sleuthing.
How to get the Summertime Sparkle Barbara Outfit in Genshin Impact
Barbara’s Summertime Sparkle outfit can be obtained for free through the Echoing Tales event, which you can get the details on through the Event menu. You’ll need to be at least Adventure Rank 35 to participate in this event. You will need to collect 24 Echoing Conches, which you can find around the new game area, the Golden Apple Archipelago. They’re usually found on shores and cliffs, as well as on the smaller, isolated islands of the archipelago.
To unlock Barbara’s outfit, you’ll need to find at least 24 Echoing Conches. The only problem is that not all of the Echoing Conches are immediately available. As of writing, only five Echoing Conches are available in the Midsummer Islands, with more to come over the next few days. If you check the Echoing Tales event page, you’ll get a timeline showing how many new Echoing Conches will appear during the event. At the rate they’re doling these things out, it’ll probably take you about a week to find enough to unlock the outfit, so be patient.
