Have you ever been stuck on a terrible vacation? Like, you just wanna go home more than anything, but for whatever reason, you’re trapped where you are and are subjected to mandatory fun? It may seem hopeless, but there is always a way to escape unwanted social activity. Here’s how to exit the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact.
Both getting to and getting out of the new Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact’s new “Midsummer Island Adventure” update is a bit of an abstract process. When you start the questline by talking to Klee at the Knights of Favonius HQ, you’re kind of locked into a process that you can’t deviate from until after a certain point, and even then, it’s not immediately apparent.
When you first get to the islands after helping Klee with the “Mysterious Islands: Journey to the Unknown” quest, you’ll be required to use your Waverider ship to light up all of the devices across the archipelago. It’s not hard; they’re all marked on your map, so just sail on over, get out of the Waverider, and interact with them. Once you’ve accomplished this, you’ll free reign of the islands to explore, complete quests, or collect Echoing Conches in pursuit of Barbara’s new beach outfit. If you want to return to the main overworld, though, you may be confused, as there’s no characters to talk to or questlines to start that’ll get you back home. Don’t worry, you’re not stuck.
How to Exit the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact
To exit the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact, all you have to do is open up your Map. On the bottom right of the screen, you’ll see the name of the area you’re in, plus a button. Press that button, and you’ll get a drop-down menu of other major locations you can visit, including Teyvat. Just click on Teyvat, and you can drop yourself back home at any activated teleport point. And if you want to return to the Golden Apple Archipelago, just open your Map, open that drop-down menu again, and select it along with where you want to go.
Once you understand the process, it’s straightforward and makes sense. It is very similar to the Serenitea Pot, so if you have been playing Genshin Impact in previous updates, you may already know this.
