Genshin Impact Mimi Tomo Event Guide: Unusual Hilichurl Locations

Genshin Impact‘s new Mimi Tomo event is here, and you can get started by visiting Kathryne over in Mondstadt. The Adventurers’ Guild has issued a new commission, and it seems to be related to a certain “Unusual Hilichurl.” Travelers will need to track down the Unusual hilichurl, with assistance from hilichurlian expert Ella Musk. In this guide, we’ll walk you through all of the Unusual Hilichurl locations for the Mimi Tomo event in Genshin Impact.

In total, the event grants 420 Primogems, which is 60 per day over seven days. Each day also rewards travelers with a unique Furnishing Blueprint and other rewards like Hero’s Wit. If you want to avoid spoilers, we recommend navigating away from this page and trying out the event for yourself in the game.

Day 1

Day one of the Mimi Tomo Event in Genshin Impact requires the following materials and grants the following rewards:

  • Required materials: 1 Fish or 1 Crab.
  • Clues: Mita movo lata (Meat in the water) and Unta nunu (late night).
  • Rewards: 60 Primogems, Embroidered Lantern: Lofty Grandeur, and 6 Hero’s Wit.

We’ll need to pay a visit to two Hilichurls in particular and translate their language by using the manual Ella Musk provides.

Hilichurl #1

Teleport to the domain and climb to the cliffs overhead. Some hilichurls may attack you, but you can run away from them and speak with the non-hostile one. The Hungry Hilichurl wants a mita movo lata, and you can refer to the manual to see what that means. Mita movo lata loosely means meat in the water in hilichurlian language in Genshin Impact, or, fish or crab. So, give the hilichurl a piece of fish from your inventory.

After giving the hilichurl some fish, it will lead you to another hilichurl’s locations.

Hilichurl #2

The next hilichurl is located in the area south of Guili Plains. Go and speak with the hilichurl, and Ella Musk will translate the conversation and reveal that it wants you to defeat a powerful monster. Head to the location and take out the treasure hoarders. Return to the hilichurl, and it will reveal the unusual hilichurl’s location, along with the hint unta nunu.

Unusual Hilichurl #1: Windrise, Mondstadt

The words unta nunu translate to late night, so you’ll want to visit the marked location and change your time of day to a little after midnight. You should find a sleeping hilichurl there, and you can attack it to begin the fight. You’ll need to defeat the Unusual Hilichurl in a designated amount of time. After beginning the fight, two more mobs spawn, so take out the Hydro Samachurl since it can heal the Unusual Hilichurl.

After you defeat the Unusual Hilichurl, you can claim your 60 Primogems, Embroidered Lantern: Lofty Grandeur, and 6 Hero’s Wit.

Hilichurl #2

The next hilichurl is east of Dragonspine on the edge of Mondstadt, but it’s easiest to get here by teleporting to the Statue of the Seven in Dragonspine. Doing this allows you to glide over to the quest spot, where you’ll find the second hilichurl. Again, you’ll need to take out a few enemies, which are Treasure Hoarders this time around. What does Unta mosi dada mean in Genshin Impact? Unta mosi dada translates to after lunchtime until just before sunset. You will need to make sure your in-game time is set to between 12:01 and 5 PM to find the hilichurl. Much like day one’s fight, make sure to take out the adds when they spawn.

Day 3

Day three of the Mimi Tomo Unusual Hilichurl event begins in the Stormbearer Mountains.

  • Required materials: 1 Luminescent Spine.
  • Clues: Unta nunu (late night).

Hilichurl #1

The first Hilichurl is very cautious, and wants us to kill some nearby enemies. Go to the marker and take them out.

Hilichurl #2

The second Hilichurl sighting is down near Mingyun Village. The Hilichurl’s Demands are something called “Celi lata.” Consulting our handy Hilichurlian language manual courtesy of Ella Musk, we can see this is an unusual figure of speed that implies both cold and heat. The phrase generally refers to things that emit light but not heat., For example, “Celi lata gusha is Small Lamp Grass, and Celi Lata can describe things like fireflies, stars, of the moon. You’ll want to give the hilichurl a Luminescent Spine.

Unusual Hilichurl #3: Stormbearer Mountains

After meeting the hilichurl’s demands, it will lead us to the third Unusual Hilichurl of the Mimi Tomo event, which is in the Stormbearer Mountains. Make sure your clock is just after midnight, and like usual, you’ll need to take it out within the time limit before you can claim your rewards. Today’s rewards are 60 Primogems, 6 Hero’s Wit, and Silk Curtains: Fetching the Sanguine Sky.
