Genshin Impact‘s new Mimi Tomo event is here, and you can get started by visiting Kathryne over in Mondstadt. The Adventurers’ Guild has issued a new commission, and it seems to be related to a certain “Unusual Hilichurl.” Travelers will need to track down the Unusual hilichurl, with assistance from hilichurlian expert Ella Musk. In this guide, we’ll walk you through all of the Unusual Hilichurl locations for the Mimi Tomo event in Genshin Impact.
In total, the event grants 420 Primogems, which is 60 per day over seven days. Each day also rewards travelers with a unique Furnishing Blueprint and other rewards like Hero’s Wit. If you want to avoid spoilers, we recommend navigating away from this page and trying out the event for yourself in the game.
Genshin Impact Mimi Tomo Event Guide: Unusual Hilichurl Locations
- Day 1
- Day 2
- Day 3
- Day 4
- Day 5
- Day 6
- Day 7
Day one of the Mimi Tomo Event in Genshin Impact requires the following materials and grants the following rewards:
- Required materials: 1 Fish or 1 Crab.
- Clues: Mita movo lata (Meat in the water) and Unta nunu (late night).
- Rewards: 60 Primogems, Embroidered Lantern: Lofty Grandeur, and 6 Hero’s Wit.
We’ll need to pay a visit to two Hilichurls in particular and translate their language by using the manual Ella Musk provides.
Teleport to the domain and climb to the cliffs overhead. Some hilichurls may attack you, but you can run away from them and speak with the non-hostile one. The Hungry Hilichurl wants a mita movo lata, and you can refer to the manual to see what that means. Mita movo lata loosely means meat in the water in hilichurlian language in Genshin Impact, or, fish or crab. So, give the hilichurl a piece of fish from your inventory.
After giving the hilichurl some fish, it will lead you to another hilichurl’s locations.
The next hilichurl is located in the area south of Guili Plains. Go and speak with the hilichurl, and Ella Musk will translate the conversation and reveal that it wants you to defeat a powerful monster. Head to the location and take out the treasure hoarders. Return to the hilichurl, and it will reveal the unusual hilichurl’s location, along with the hint unta nunu.
Unusual Hilichurl #1: Windrise, Mondstadt
The words unta nunu translate to late night, so you’ll want to visit the marked location and change your time of day to a little after midnight. You should find a sleeping hilichurl there, and you can attack it to begin the fight. You’ll need to defeat the Unusual Hilichurl in a designated amount of time. After beginning the fight, two more mobs spawn, so take out the Hydro Samachurl since it can heal the Unusual Hilichurl.
After you defeat the Unusual Hilichurl, you can claim your 60 Primogems, Embroidered Lantern: Lofty Grandeur, and 6 Hero’s Wit.
Day two of the Mimi Tomo Event in Genshin Impact is underway, and we have two more hilichurls and the second Unusual Hilichurl to uncover. Today we will need the following materials and receive the following rewards:
- Required materials: None (all fight requests.)
- Clues: Unta mosi dada (time from lunch to sunset.)
- Rewards: 60 Primogems, Embroidered Curtains, and 60,000 Mora.
The first hilichurl is on the southern part of the quest circle. You will need to take out some Geovishaps for this hilichurl and then report back when you’re done.
The next hilichurl is east of Dragonspine on the edge of Mondstadt, but it’s easiest to get here by teleporting to the Statue of the Seven in Dragonspine. Doing this allows you to glide over to the quest spot, where you’ll find the second hilichurl. Again, you’ll need to take out a few enemies, which are Treasure Hoarders this time around. Report back to the hilichurl for the final location and blue.
Unusual Hilichurl #2: North of Liyue
The Unusual Hilichurl for day 2 of the Mimi Tomo event in Genshin Impact is found just north of Liyue city on top of the hill.
What does Unta mosi dada mean in Genshin Impact? Unta mosi dada translates to after lunchtime until just before sunset. You will need to make sure your in-game time is set to between 12:01 and 5 PM to find the hilichurl. Much like day one’s fight, make sure to take out the adds when they spawn.
Day three of the Mimi Tomo Unusual Hilichurl event begins in the Stormbearer Mountains.
- Required materials: 1 Luminescent Spine.
- Clues: Unta nunu (late night).
- Rewards: 60 Primogems, Silk Curtains: Fetching the Sanguine Sky, and 6 Hero’s Wit.
The first Hilichurl is very cautious, and wants us to kill some nearby enemies. Go to the marker and take them out.
The second Hilichurl sighting is down near Mingyun Village. The Hilichurl’s Demands are something called “Celi lata.” Consulting our handy Hilichurlian language manual courtesy of Ella Musk, we can see this is an unusual figure of speed that implies both cold and heat. The phrase generally refers to things that emit light but not heat., For example, “Celi lata gusha is Small Lamp Grass, and Celi Lata can describe things like fireflies, stars, of the moon. You’ll want to give the hilichurl a Luminescent Spine.
Unusual Hilichurl #3: Stormbearer Mountains
After meeting the hilichurl’s demands, it will lead us to the third Unusual Hilichurl of the Mimi Tomo event, which is in the Stormbearer Mountains. Make sure your clock is just after midnight, and like usual, you’ll need to take it out within the time limit before you can claim your rewards. Today’s rewards are 60 Primogems, 6 Hero’s Wit, and Silk Curtains: Fetching the Sanguine Sky.
Day four of the Mimi Tomo event goes live on May 30, 2021, at varying times depending on your region. You’ll need a few materials for today’s part of the event, so let’s dive into it.
- Required materials: Magic Crystal Chunk or Noctilucous Jade, and Tomato or Jueyun Chili.
- Clues: Unta mosi dada (12:00 to 18:00)
- Rewards: 60 Primogems, Floral Screen: Jade and Gold, and 60000 Mora.
The first Hilichurl is over at Qingce Village, so you can take the southwest waypoint of Qingce Village and head northeast from there. You will have to defeat a couple enemies, and then give the Hilichurl “gusha celi boya,” which basically means a red plant. Jueyun Chili and Tomatoes both work for this part.
The second Hilichurl is near Wolvendom, so you can teleport to the northwest domain near Wolvendom. The other route makes you climb up a mountain, which takes forever, so we recommend this one. You will need to give this Hilichurl “Lata boya sada,” which translates to a blue hard item. Noctilucous Jade or Magic Crystal Chunks works for this part.
Unusual Hilichurl #4: Stone Gate
Finally, you’ll need to change your time to anywhere between 12:00 and 18:00 for “Unta mosi dada.” Once you get there, defeat the Unusual Hilichurl in the time limit, and claim your rewards.
- Required materials: 1 Dandelion Seed.
- Clues: Mosi Aba Nunu.
- Rewards: 60 Primogems, 6 Hero’s Wit, Thundering Heavens Drum Furnishing Blueprint.
The first Hilichurl is located just above Dawn Winery, so you can teleport to the Statue of the Seven in that area and walk a bit north. The friendly Hilichurl is standing next to a mushroom. You’ll need to defeat a few Treasure Hoarders before returning and proceeding to the next Hilichurl.
The second Hilichurl location is at the northeast waypoint of Mt. Aocang, and you’ll find the friendly hilichurl near the water by the wheat plants. The hilichurl will mention the phrase Kucha Gusha, and you can give it a Dandelion Seed for information about the Unusual Hilichurl.
Unusual Hilichurl #5: Tianqiu Valley
The Unusual Hilichurl is located in the Tianqiu Valley waypoint, so you can teleport to the waypoint and head west, taking out the Fatui before reaching the location. Make sure your time of day to Mosi Aba Nunu to get the Unusual Hilichurl to show up. Eliminate it within the time limit and then claim your rewards, which are 60 Primogems, 6 Hero’s Wit, and a Thundering Heavens Drum Furnishing Blueprint for your Serenitea Pot.
- Required materials: 1 Berry.
- Clues: Aba mosi dada.
- Rewards: 60 Primogems, 60,000 Mora, Tasseled Lantern: Deck the Streets
The first Hilichurl is over in Cape Oath. You can teleport to the waypoint and head north. Look for it on top of a stone, and run along the left side of the cliff. You can give this Hilichurl a Fowl to proceed to the second step.
The second Hilichurl is at Tianqiu Valley. Teleport to the southern waypoint and head northeast. You can find the friendly Hilichurl next to a tree. You’ll need to defeat a few enemies before proceeding to the final spot with the Unusual Hilichurl.
Unusual Hilichurl #6: Cape Oath
The Unusual Hilichurl is at the Cape Oath waypoint, and you can head north from there to get to the spot. Change your in-game time to between 12:00 and 18:00 to find it. The day six rewards for Mimi Tomo event are 60 Primogems, 60,000 Mora, and a Tasseled Lantern: Deck Blueprint Furnishing.
- Required materials: 1 Berry.
- Clues: Aba mosi dada.
- Rewards: 60 Primogems, 6 Hero’s Wit, Lantern-Lit Stage
The first Hilichurl is in the western Cuijue Slope. You can teleport to the southern waypoint just under the Cuijue Slope text on the map, and then head northwest. The other waypoint appears closer, but you’ll need to climb, so it takes longer. Sleepy Hilichurl will request Gusha Unu Boya, and you can give him a Berry.
The second Hilichurl location is in southern Mondstadt, south of Dawn Winery on the border next to the river just before Wyrmrest Valley. You can teleport to the small Wyrmrest Valley peninsula waypoint, and walk over. The second Hilichurl is dancing next to a birch tree. Defeat the enemies, and move on to the Unusual Hilichurl spot.
Unusual Hilichurl #7
The seventh Unusual Hilichurl in our Genshin Impact Mimi Tomo event journey is in Cuijue Slope. Teleport to the southern waypoint and work your way up north to get there. The clue is Aba mosi dada, which translates to between 06:00 and 12:00, so change your clock and look for it there.
Congratulations on finishing the Genshin Impact Mimi Tomo event and earning all 420 Primogems and 7 exclusive Furnishing Blueprints!
