New Characters in Genshin Impact 1.1

New characters include Zhongli, Childe, Diona, and Xinyan. Ganyu may also be an upcoming five-star character. Zhongli and Childe banners are coming to the game in the 1.1 updates. Here’s a breakdown of each potentially new character:

  • Zhongli: Geo spear-wielder.
  • Childe: Melee and archer form Hydro character.
  • Diona: Cryo support character.
  • Xinyan: Claymore-wielding Pyro.
  • Ganyu: Cryo bow user with frost arrows.

Items and quick slot

A few new items are coming in the next patch, including an Anemo Bottle, Fujin’s Eye Resonance Stone, Portable Teleporter and Cooking Pot, and Food Bag.

  • Anemo Bottle stores Anemo wisps, which you can collect.
  • Fujin’s Eye Resonance Stone allows you to find nearby Anemoculus and Geoculus.
  • Portable Cooking Pot lets you cook anywhere.
  • Portable Teleport lets you put a teleporter anywhere you want.
  • Food Bag is a new quick way to eat your food without going into your bags.

Quests

New storyline quests for Keqing, Xiao, Diona, and Childe will show up in the upcoming update. There will likely also be a new Liyue weekly boss to kill for rewards. Region-specific quests will also increase your reputation level, another new feature in the update.

Reputation System

A new type of leveling is coming to the game, separate from Adventure Rank and Friendship level. City Reputation progresses separately in Mondstadt and Liyue and increases by doing bounties, exploration, and region-specific quests. The new system unlocks at Adventure Rank 25. Travelers can visit a reputation merchant in each region. Reputation level two rewards you with a Mining Outcrop, and level four gives you discounts on Merchant goods.

Unreconciled Stars Event

The upcoming Unreconciled Stars event has three stages that release over time. A new co-op event, similar to the Crucible Event, will be one of the features. Players can get a free Fischl, along with other rewards during the event for participating.

Here’s a trailer for Genshin Impact versions 1.1, “A New Star Approaches”:

While there appear to be many significant changes coming to the game, some players might be disappointed in no mention of the Resin system. However, the team says they hear the feedback and are working on it. New character banners were also not touched on during the announcement.

After the version 1.1 launch, Gnehsin Impact will be PlayStation 5 with faster loading times and improved graphics. It will be backward compatible with PlayStation 4, as well.
