The Season of Discovery is live in Pokemon GO, featuring the fifth-anniversary celebrations of the game and Pokemon GO Fest 2021. Encounter new pokemon that have never appeared before and learn new things about the ones we know and love. The event starts on June 1 at 10 am Local Time and lasts for a few months. There’s a Galarian Ponya timed research tasks and rewards available in Pokemon GO as part of the event, available as soon as it starts. It’s all about getting a couple of Galarian Ponya encounters due to the shiny variant being unavailable during part of May.
Log in to Pokemon GO on June 1 through June 8 to complete the limited-time tasks and claim your rewards. You can possibly get a shiny version if you are lucky enough, but there are no guarantees. Check down below for a complete list of tasks and rewards.
Galarian Ponyta special timed research tasks and rewards
Here are the Galarian Ponya special timed research tasks and rewards:
Task 1
- Transfer 10 Pokémon: 10 Poké balls
- Catch 5 Pokémon: 1,000 XP
- Make five nice throws: 1,000 Stardust
- Rewards: Galarian Ponya encounter, 1,000 Stardust, 1,000 XP
Task 2
- Claim rewards: 15 Poké balls, 1,500 XP, 1,500 Stardust
- Rewards: Galarian Ponya encounter, Incense, 1,500 XP
There are only two sets of tasks, and they are fairly simple, so you should complete them by playing normally. If you have some Pokemon sitting in storage, it’s a good time to transfer them if you want your shot at a Galarian Ponya.
