Distracted by Something Shiny Research Tasks and Rewards

A new Pokemon GO event is now live in the game, and it presents an opportunity for players to encounter Shiny Celebi. Jessie and James are guiding you through this Special Research, instead of the usual Professor Willow. There are four sets of tasks associated with this event. Here’s a look at the Distracted by Something Shiny research tasks and rewards in Pokemon GO.

Trainers need to make sure to complete all of the four sets of tasks before the time-limit. The final stage of challenges is not yet available, but there’s a Shiny Celebi encounter for sure. If that’s something you have been waiting for, it’s a great chance to get one.

Here’s a look at all the research tasks for this week’s event:

Tasks 1/4

• Transfer ten Pokemon: Ultra Balls x20
• Catch 10 Grass-type Pokemon: Nuzleaf Encounter
• Evolve 3 Grass-type Pokemon: Cottonee Encounter
• Rewards: Stardust x500, 1000 XP, Diglett Encounter

Tasks 2/4

• Play with your buddy ten times: Poffin x1
• Take a snapshot of a Grass-type Pokemon: Combee encounter
• Give your buddy ten treats: Cherubi encounter
• Rewards: Stardust x500, 1000 XP, Pinsir Encounter

Tasks 3/4

• Defeat Jessie or James 4 times: 5 Max Revive
• Make 5 Great Curveball Throws: Hoothoot encounter
• Hatch 3 eggs: Whimsicott encounter
• Rewards: Stardust x500, 1000 XP, Whimsicott Encounter

Tasks 4/4
