How Can You Skip the Campaign?

Campaign skipping naturally won’t be available from the moment when you purchase the game. You would need to complete one campaign run with any character to unlock the skip campaign option. Then, the new characters you make will have the option to skip the campaign.

When it comes to the question of whether you should skip the campaign, it’s really up to you. I remember when playing Diablo 3 I liked to start a fresh campaign with a new class every couple of months and complete it regardless of the ability to skip it. But, that’s me. I’m old school gamer with a love for that slow single-player progression.

The main advantage of campaign skipping is that you get to experience Diablo 4 without having to go through the whole length of the main storyline. You can play some fun missions if you’d like, pick your own adventures, Whispers, side-quests, and parts of the world that you want to clear of enemies.

What Can You Carry Over When You Skip the Campaign?

Once you’ve completed the main campaign of the Diablo 4 and start fresh with a new character some of your things and features will get transferred to the new character while some others won’t. These account-wide benefits are pretty similar to those in Diablo 3.

Here is the full list of things your new character will have access to from the get-go:

  • All Mounts.
  • Currencies – Gold, Murmuring Obols, and Red Dust.
  • Materials.
  • All items in the stash.

Furthermore, you’ll be able to access all Titles that you have previously unlocked, extra skill points, potion capacity, and Whispers. On the other hand, you will have to explore the open world again on your own, and side quests will start anew.
