DbD Leak Teases New Killer – the skull merchant

A new hunter has entered the arena.

Behaviour Interactive’s epic monster versus survivors extravaganza, Dead by Daylight, is no slouch when it comes to introducing new and exciting things into the fold for players. With licensed and original survivors, as well as killers, there is literally something for every kind of horror fan, readily available in-game.

But a recent leak for the upcoming “The Tools of Torment” update that lands on March 7, may have shown the latest killer for the game. Better yet, it’s been confirmed! So, today, let’s talk about the Skull Merchant killer that was leaked for Dead by Daylight!

DbD Leak Teases New Killer – the skull merchant

Originally leaked about a week ago, eagle-eyed fans of the game were able to spot a tag for a video that included “The Skull Merchant”, among other things. Since then, Behaviour has solidified the rumors that The Skull Merchant will in fact be joining the roster of killers, beginning March 7, as part of The Tools of Torment update.

This update not only includes The Skull Merchant but two new survivors, and new cosmetics for the killer. But The Skull Merchant herself has been quite a rumble with the fans, for better or worse. Many players have stated that her look leaves much to be desired, as she doesn’t truly fit the vibes that Dead by Daylight exudes. Her humanoid look with half-gas mask and Predator-like claw give her a sci-fi feel, though don’t fully commit to the idea.

Regardless of her looks, she’s sure to be an interesting opponent for survivors, as she can utilize drones to aid in her carrying out attacks, pinpointing their exact locations. She’s very much a hunter in her own way, running close comparisons to a horror-themed Kraven the Hunter from Spider-Man. It’s only a matter of time until we know what players really think about what matters most; how deadly she is against survivors.

Well, now the cat is out of the bag! Players can begin playing as the new Skull Merchant killer on March 7, so get ready to hunt those survivors down!
