Best Weavile Moveset in Pokemon GO

Weavile is a dual-type Pokemon and the evolved form of Sneasel in Pokemon GO. While only a second evolution Pokemon, Weavile is still one of the most hard-hitting attackers in the game. That said, Weavile is a fragile Pokemon and cannot take many hits. You will likely get the most out of Weavile as an attacker in raids, but there’s also room for it in Battle Leagues. Here’s a look at the best Weavile moveset in Pokemon GO.

Today is Sneasel Day, so you are probably wondering if it’s worth it to start grinding out the Candy.

Weavile is vulnerable to Fighting (double), Fairy, Bug, Steel, Fire, and Rock-type. Resistances include Ghost, Ice, Dark, and Psychic-types. Here are all of Weavile’s moves.

Fast Moves

  • Feint Attack (Dark-type): 13.3 DPS, 10 Damage, 10 EPS
  • Ice Shard (Ice-type): 12 DPS, 10 Damage, 10 EPS
  • Snarl (Dark-type): 13.1 DPS, 12 Damage, 12.7 EPS

Charge Moves

  • Avalanche (Ice-type): 40 DPS, 90 Damage, 45 Energy
  • Focus Blast (Fighting-type): 40 DPS, 140 Damage, 75 Energy
  • Foul Play (Dark-type): 42 DPS, 70 Damage, 45 Energy

The best moveset for Weavile in Pokemon GO is Snarl and Avalanche for PvE. Not only is it suitable for gym battles, but the moves are also useful for PvP in Battle Leagues. Snarl is not the most significant damage fast move, but it does generate the most energy. Energy generation helps get off more charged moves, which increases the overall DPS.

In any of the League Battles, you’ll want to run Snarl with Avalanche and Foul Play. Weavile is incredibly glassy, so it’s not going to be able to withstand many attacks at all. However, it is still one of the strongest attackers in the game, so build your team around that accordingly.

Great League

Weavile can come in clutch against Alolan Marowak, Galvantula, Hypno, Drifblim, and Meganium. It is very weak to Galarian Sunfisk, Azumarill, Skarmory, Umbreon, and Abomasnow.

Ultra League

Weavile wins against Giratina (Altered), Cresselia, Venusaur, Snorlax, and Dragonite and comes up short against Swampert, Charizard, Lapras, Gyarados, and Alolan Muk.

Master League

In Master League, Weavile will take down Giratina (Origin), Dragonite, Rhyperior, Zekrom, and Darkrai. Key losses include Dialga, Kyogre, Groudon, Giratina (Altered), and Mewtwo. Shadow Weavile also slightly outperforms regular Weavile in Master League with the same move set.
