When it comes to deciding which of these Warzone guns is the absolute best in class, we have to look at a few factors. There are overall DPS and damage profile stats that determine how hard the weapon hits. Looking at damage alone is not enough, because other things like recoil, accuracy, and rate-of-fire will have a significant effect on time-to-kill.

Considering all the factors, and opinions from top-tier players and streamers, we managed to narrow it down into a top ten list and determine which ones reign supreme. Here are our rankings for the best Warzone Assault Rifles in the game, from best to worst.

  • Kilo 141
  • M4A1
  • M13

Grau 5.56

At the start of Season 3 and the launch of Warzone, the Grau was not at the top of everyone’s list. As soon as people started learning how to use it, things changed. With the right attachments, the best Grau 5.56 loadout for Warzone makes it a laser beam of a weapon that excels in all aspects. The damage is top-notch, the recoil is non-existent, and you can use it at any range. Not only that, but it’s a natural weapon to use for players of any skill level. Here are the stats for the Grau 5.56 in Warzone:

  • Rate of fire: 750 RPM
  • DPS: 350
  • TTK (no armor): 240 ms
  • TTK (full armor): 640 ms
  • ADS Speed: 234 ms
  • Reload Time: 1.32 ms
  • Movement Speed: 96.5%

CR-56 AMAX

The CR-56 AMAX is a new weapon in Season 4 and is quickly becoming a crowd favorite, and some might even consider it the best gun in Warzone. It has the highest DPS out of all assault rifles, except for the M4A1 with SOCOM rounds, and has the second-fastest TTK. With the best CR-56 AMAX Warzone setup, you can quickly rack up some dubs. As long as you can hit your shots, you want to use this weapon in your Season 4 Warzone loadouts.

  • Rate of fire: 645 RPM
  • Damage: 42-28
  • DPS: 452-301
  • TTK (no armor): 186-279 ms
  • TTK (full armor): 465-744 ms

Kilo 141

The Kilo 141 has been a popular choice since Season 4, for a good reason. With the best Kilo 141 Warzone loadout, the stats are comparable to the Grau. We only have one major downside, which makes it a slightly worse weapon overall. The gun is not as mobile as the Grau, with a slower ADS speed and movement speed penalty. Here are the stats for the Grau 5.56 in Warzone:

  • Rate of fire: 779 RPM
  • DPS: 364
  • TTK (no armor): 231 ms
  • ADS Speed: 250 ms
  • Reload Time: 1.34 s
  • Movement Speed: 93.5%

M4A1

The M4A1 is a staple Warzone assault rifle since the release of Warzone. It’s one of those guns everyone has a loadout for, mostly because it’s easy to use and shreds through enemies. With the proper M4A1 loadout for Warzone, you can reduce the recoil to nearly zero, while maintaining excellent mobility and a high damage profile. You will also notice this gun has one of the highest fire rates and DPS out of all other assault rifles. Here are the base stats for the M4A1 weapon in Warzone:

  • Rate of fire: 833 RPM
  • DPS: 389 DPS
  • TTK (no armor): 216 ms
  • TTK (full plate) 576 ms
  • ADS Speed: 250 ms
  • Reload Time: 1.39s
  • Movement Speed: 95%

M13

The M13 assault rifle is a weapon not many people run in their setups. Due to the low damage profile, the time-to-kill is low compared to other weapons in its class. It lacks in damage, but makes up for it with a high rate of fire and quick reload. This gun excels in mid-range compared with other ARs. With the best M13 loadout in Warzone, you can easily shred through some enemies. Here’s a look at some of the stats on this weapon.

  • Rate of fire: 923 RPM
  • Damage: 24-19
  • DPS: 369
  • TTK (no armor): 260 ms
  • TTK (full plate): 650 ms
  • ADS Speed: 250 ms
  • Reload Time: 1.30 s
  • Movement Speed: 94%

RAM-7

Here’s another assault rifle you don’t see many people rocking in Warzone. The Ram-7 has a decent damage profile with nice damage-per-second, but the reload time and harsh recoil make it a difficult gun to master. If you can master the spray patterns, you might want to give this gun a try. Our RAM-7 Warzone loadout will have you racking up frags with no problem.

  • Rate of fire: 882 RPM
  • Damage: 28-18
  • DPS: 412
  • TTK (no armor): 204 ms
  • TTK (full plate): 544 ms
  • ADS Speed: 234 ms
  • Reload Time: 1.62 s
  • Movement Speed: 95%

Oden

The Oden is undoubtedly one of the more underutilized assault rifles in Warzone. With the right attachments, however, this weapon is fun to use. Couple it with a good SMG like a Fennec or MP5, and you have yourself a loadout that can carry you to a battle royale victory. The Oden has some nice stopping power, but the lack of ammo can be problematic. Overall, it’s a top-performing weapon as long as your aim is on point.

FAL

While we’re on the subject of underrated weapons, let’s take a look at the FAL. This assault rifle got a buff in May with a decrease to ADS time, making it even better. Consider checking out our FAL Warzone loadout in case you aren’t sure what attachments make this gun best. If you have the right setup, this is one weapon you can crush with for Warzone.

FN Scar

Another assault rifle that got a buff for the latest season is the FN Scar. If you give this weapon a chance, it might be one of your new favorites for Warzone. The downside is the small magazine capacity, but the damage profile means you don’t need all that much ammo. With the recent FN Scar buff, we may start seeing many more people test this weapon out.

AK-47

The AK-47 is an off-meta assault rifle not many people tend to use. You may pick it up at the beginning of a Warzone, but that seems to be about the extent of most people’s experience. There is one huge downfall to this weapon, and that’s the recoil. Try and use some attachments to offset that recoil, and you might enjoy it.

FR 5.56

At the bottom of our list if the FR.556 assault rifle. It’s a burst-fire weapon, and for a lot of people, that’s a game-breaker. The gun has a nice damage profile, but we can’t recommend it in its current state. Maybe we’ll see a buff in an upcoming season, but it remains in the last place until then.
