In Dead by Daylight, The Mastermind is a brilliant tactician infused with the Power of Uroboros and who’s goal is to hunt down the four survivors as they attempt to restart the various generators on the map. He also comes with three unique perks that make him standout from the rest. Those perks are;
- Awakened Awareness – The first perk alters your DNA to heighten your senses in intense situations. Essentially, while carrying a survivor, any nearby survivor within 16, 18 or 20 meters of you will be revealed. The effect continues for two seconds after you’ve stopped carrying the survivor.
- Superior Anatomy – The second perk provides you with increased speed and strength. Allowing you to quickly chase after survivors and adapt better to the situation. The perk activates when a survivor performs a rushed vault within 8 meters of you. Increasing your vaulting speed by 30, 35 or 40% the next time you vault over a window. The perk deactivates after vaulting and has a 30-second cool-down.
- Terminus – The final perk will be your last line of defense to use on the survivors before they escape. The perk activates once the Exit Gates have power. While active, any injured, dying or hooked survivors suffer from the Broken Status Effect until the gates are open. The effect lingers for 20, 25 or 30 seconds afterwards.

While Deerstalker gives every survivor in a dying state a glowing aura, so long as they are within 20, 28, or 36 meters of you. Keep Superior Anatomy in there so that you can still chase down any evasive survivors, as well as Terminus. Which (as previously stated) is your last line of defense ensuring that the remaining survivors have no way of escape.
