All Unique HAB Locations in Starfield

Calling all Interior Designers.

Bethesda is known for providing seemingly endless opportunities for customization. From the Outposts/ Bases you can create from scratch, catering to your every need, to the type of star man/woman/person you wish to be. Whilst aesthetics aren’t everything, they do hold a dear place in our hearts for those who love to customize. Being able to travel across the infinite galaxies is already a fantasy in itself, so why wouldn’t you want to look the very best you can and inside the ship of your dreams? Whether you are a pirate ambushing your competition, a drug dealer on a mission to harvest crucial minerals for your concoctions, or a simple traveler – the look of your ship is important. This is where the HAB comes in.

In Starfield, the HAB (Habitat) offers players a unique look for their ship. It is primarily used for aesthetics and does nothing in regard to stats, storage capacity, defenses against pirates, or a cunning disguise against the identification scans when you are traveling with contraband. However, each unique HAB does have different resources available upon purchase such as differing Crewmember counts, Benches, and Research Terminals.

On offer are 3 unique HAB looks for different types of players – Classic and Clean (Minimal aesthetic focusing on the space stuff), Sci-Fi nostalgia (Neil Armstrong in the Apollo cosplay), and Humble Beginnings (A twist on Factory aesthetic). Whatever the look, Starfield has you covered. This is Vincent’s guide on where to find all unique HAB parts.

HAB Parts in Starfield – Location Guide

The HAB stands for Habitats and it is what your overall ship looks like. It is important to note however that the unique Habitats are tailored only for the Pioneer’s (ship) interior. The more general HAB structures can dictate the exterior look and overall feel of the Pioneer as you traverse across the galaxy.

But with the unique HABs, these transform the interior and overall shape of the ship, without making the exterior look like an absolute eyesore. The Habitats that are on offer are purchasable via specific locations found on different solar systems. These HABs, regardless of whether you are looking for unique parts or to purchase the complete set inside and out, you will want to visit:

  • Deimos HQ (Deimos Staryard orbiting Mars)
  • Stroud Eklund HQ (Narion Staryard orbiting Dalvik)
  • Nova HQ (Station Staryard orbiting Luna)
  • HopeTech (Hopetown in Polvo)
  • Taiyo (Ryujin Tower in Neon)

Each HQ offers its own aesthetic which will likely be the difference between your primary pick when choosing your ship’s interior design. For those wondering what each Headquarter offers in regard to aesthetics and resources, this is the summary:

ManufacturerLocationPurchased FromAesthetic
Deimos HQDeimos Staryard orbiting Mars (Sol System)Nikau HendersonClean Military Aesthetic
Stroud Eklund HQNarion Staryard orbiting Dalvik (Narion System)Headquarters SalesmanClean Military Aesthetic

HopeTech Hopetown in Polvo (Valo System)Ship Services TechnicianRugged and Industrial Aesthetic
Taiyo Use elevator in Ryujin Tower in Neon, Volii Alpha (Volii System)Veronica YoungRugged and Industrial Aesthetic

Whilst each offers a unique look, the interior for HopeTech and Taiyo, or Deimos and Stroud, is the same as one another aside from slight variations in flooring and decorative items. Although HABs are part of the ship’s exterior and interior, the unique Habitats are only available for the interior design of the Pioneer.

So for those looking to find the unique HAB parts up for grabs, you need to visit the Headquarters we have listed above. On offer are HABs, Landing Gear, Cockpits, and more, which can be combined with one another regardless of the Brand, so long as you take note of the Base Size (1×1, 2×1, and 3×1) for each structure you are placing inside the ship.

Finally, each HAB costs a varying amount of Credits to purchase, therefore some aesthetics may be better picked at the beginning of your Starfield journey compared to others. For instance, if you are stuck for cash, opting for Deimos or Shroud are the best options for Workshops as they offer all means of crafting aside from a Pharmaceutical Lab.

How to Assign HABs?

When you have purchased the HABs via the Brand/Manufacturer(s) you will not have this automatically assigned and in use on the Pioneer. If you want to assign the interior or exterior HABs, you will need to use the Landing Pad (with Ship Builder). The Landing Pad must be made inside any planet you have built an Outpost on. To craft one, you will need x18 Adaptive Frame, x2 Beryllium, x30 Iron, and x2 Zero Wire.

The unique HAB offers larger ground to move around in, with different resources per Part, unlike the standard structures you can buy from each Manufacturer. Because of this, you may find that some HABs are better suited to your current needs in the game, depending on what Workshops, Benches, and Crew Stations you already have on board.

The main use of the unique HABs however is to expand your ship’s overall interior design, making it feel more lived in and personal to you, rather than a bunch of living/ working quarters that are designated with a single function per room.

That was our guide on where you can find all unique HAB parts for your Pioneer in Starfield.
