Escape From Tarkov debuted back in 2017, and has since grown to become one of the top survival-based looter-shooters on the market. Part of the reason why it’s maintained such a large following is because of all the new updates getting pumped out by the developers. With a variety of changes and improvements taking place every few months.
One of their more aggressive updates was released in June 2022, featuring several new features, fixes, weapons and graphical improvements. Although, while not exactly mentioned in the patch notes, it looks like there are a few new quests that have been added to the game as well.
Here are all of the new quests that have been added to Escape From Tarkov in the June 2022 update.
All New Quests Added in Escape From Tarkov –
There were three new quests added to Escape From Tarkov in the new update: Broadcast, Reconnaissance, and Stray Dogs. Here are the objectives and rewards for each quest.
Broadcast
Broadcast tasks players with locating the hidden recording studio on Lighthouse and planting a signal jammer inside of the studio. It’s a quest given by Mechanic and requires both the Signal Jammer (which can be purchased from Mechanic) as well as the Operating Room Key.
Your rewards for completing this quest include:
- 6,700 EXP
- Mechanic Rep +0.03
- 650 Euros (683 with Intelligence Center Level 1, and ??? With Intelligence Center Level 2)
- Can of thermite
- Pack of nails.

Reconnaissance
For Reconnaissance, you will need to climb to the rooftop of three office buildings on Lighthouse and recon the roof of each building. It’s a quest given to you by Praper but you will need to survive and extract from the location afterwards to successfully complete the mission.
Your rewards for completing this quest include:
- 18,000 EXP
- Prapor Rep +0.03
- 155,000 Roubles (162,750 Roubles with Intelligence Level 1, and 178,250 Roubles with Intelligence Level 2)
- NPP KIASS “Korund-VM” body armor
- NPP KIASS Condor Glasses
Stray Dogs
For the final quest, Stray Dogs, you will need to find and kill the three new Scav bosses; Big Pipe, Birdeye and Knight. It’s a mission given to you by Jaeger and each boss can be found on Customs, Woods, Shoreline and Lighthouse. Here’s where you can find them in each location:
- Customs – At the Scav base (ZB-013 extraction) building with the numerous mounted weapons
- Lighthouse – At the water treatment plant and at the chalet
- Shoreline – At the weather station
- Woods – At the Scav bunker with the antenna
Your rewards for completing this quest include:
- +12,000 EXP
- 131,625 Roubles
- SV-98 7.62x54R bolt-action sniper rifle (variant OV)
- Recknagel Era-Tac 30mm ring scope mount
- Schmidt & Bender PM II 1-8×24 scope
- SV-98 7.62x54R 10-round magazine
- 30x 7.62x54mm R PS gzh
